Hmm, I haven't cared about Mortal Kombat since MK2, but I do like DC comics. Though to be honest, I wout rather see another Marvel vs. Capcom sequel (Yes, I know it isn't going to happen.) since I care about Marvel comics and Capcom games allot more than I do Midway games and DC comics.

Games do tend to take liberties. There was a god-awful Justice League fighting game for the SNES that potentially pit Superman vs. Batman. I don't see why Superman can't take on some of the ridiculous characters in the MK franchise.

Hell, if Voldo can get stabbed by a lightsaber 20 times and live to tell about it, I don't see why Superman is getting so much flack about being in a fighter.

I'm not too sure that I believe this, but I really hope it's true. I'll admit that recent Mortal Kombat games have pretty much sucked(I thought Deception was good though), but I grew up on Mortal Kombat games and Batman is my favorite super hero. Not only that, but recently I've gotten into watching reruns of Justice League on Youtube. So this game will be awesome for so many reasons, if it's real.

If the mortal characters can fight Raiden, who is an immortal god, then I don't see why they can't fight Superman.

Most Marvel games? Well, not so much, but better than most other comics-based games. Ultimate Alliance was good times.

Well,this is different. Part of me hopes this is fake. I love mk and some of DC, but I can't see them together. The franchise of MK is built around killing right? So certain characters would be in an odd position. I mean seriously, when Wonder Woman killed a guy years back the whole JLA were upset about it for a long time. So how'd that work in game? Complete removal of fatalities is not an option, people for instance got upset about the lack of Fatalities in DA. Plus, someone brought up the point of Batman's no killing rule.

If if was DC vs SNK or SF or even Tekken, that wouldn't be so weird to me. For me it's not the worlds of the characters colliding; comics always have alternate reality scenarios so they could write a plausible situation. The issue for me is the whole Fatality aspect and how it'd make for a weird outcome. I'm babbling but I just think it will come off strange.

I kind of put this rumor in the same camp with the ZootFly Ghostbusters game. Spread word early to get a buzz, even though it might not workout in the end.

Not quite as good, the Konquest mode sucked, but it had Noob-Smoke and Baraka, so SWEET. Armageddon? EVERY fighter in an MK EVAR, a character creator? TOTALLY SWEET. Wii was a word in it, I doubt this will be the SAME MK game they have been going out about since last year - which is more brutal and relasstic and uses the Unreal engine.

They said the new game would be gritty and dark (like the DC world is) but also inspired Gears of War - which DID feature blood and lots of death...

Damn, i'm a huge MK fan and hope this DC crossover isn't the ONLY new MK game out this year! :o(

Luke, did you even play Mortal Kombat: Deception? That is a "REALLY good", not "decent" MK game. Granted it's not as awesome as my all-time favorite MK game, MK2, BUT it will do. Sure, the campaign didn't win any awards, but the online portion was freakin' awesome and get this... "lag free" for the most part.

It seems too far from April Fools day for this to be a prank, although this could be some sort of pre 4/20 pot addled prank that Midway thought would be funny. This is a pretty big reach. Marvel vs Capcom = Awesome.... MK has been pretty stale on its own and I agree with many other posters that have said that throwing in the Dark Knight isn't going to make MK any better. For cryin out loud they made Liu Kang a zombie in the last one.. wtf?!?!? I still will not believe this till I see some sort of official screens or footage

There's a spectacular line in Justice League: The New Frontier where he tells Martian Manhunter that he has a $70,000 radioactive sliver of meteorite to stop "the one from Metropolis", but all he'd need for J'onn is a penny to buy a book of matches.
