No, nope and no way. Big Boss is dead, my man. Old Snake isn't even blind, and last time I checked, Big Boss got his freakin' shit burned to a crisp by Solid Snake. There is no way in hell he's coming back as a playable character. Of course, he'll still be a main talking point in cutscenes so there is no doubt that he'll be pivotal to the plot, but yeah, no way he's coming back ALIVE.

I wouldn't expect any dead characters to come back at all in this game. Kojima knows the whole resurrection thing is getting old and played out. Dead characters stay dead and probably, a whole lot of new characters die, too.

@Tibeerius: I agree, although crazy as it is. Think about it... the U.S. Government never wanted to return Big Boss corpse. Old Snake is shown using knives and CQC (Solid Snake stated in MGS2 that he hates blades when he gives the katana to Raiden). A picture is shown of a younger snake in trailers. I'm starting to notice a pattern here.

@RYAMATSU: It's certainly crazy, but as you said look at his choice of weapons. Big Boss liked M1911s, Solid preferred the HK USP. In the gameplay demo he's using The End's Moisin sniper rifle on PMC soldiers at one point. And at the cemetary he was at in one of the trailers it looked a lot like he was saluting Boss's grave...Solid did not seem to know or care about Big Boss's past, why would he do that?

@Vicious-chan: Could be...but then we're talking about a game universe where Grey Fox was killed and came back as a cyber-ninja, Ocelot had Liquid's arm grafted onto him and was taken over by Liquid's spirit, The Sorrow's ghost manifested all over MSG3, Vamp took a .45 slug square in the forehead and came back to be "killed" by Raiden a couple more times and he's back for more, Raiden seems to be more machine than man, and I'm sure I'm missing some things. Considering all that it's not that far of a stretch for someone (probably the Philosophers) to revive Big Boss and put a new right eye in him...or maybe the Solid Eye system is intended to compensate for the missing eye...

I have had the biker stache before, as well as a moustache that was attached to my sideburns and ran the length of my jawline (my wife hated that look!), but I can only dream of having an awesome Snake mullet. I had a mullet for a few years, along with nearly every male in the 90s, but my hair was always thin and greasy.
