Rock Band Drum Cozies

Jane over at Game Girl Advance points out these neat drum cozies. Colour-coded, and sound-dampening, they look like the perfect addition to any Rock Band set-up. I wonder why Harmonix hasn't starting selling some sort of official sound-dampeners for the drums?
Too bad they don't because these crocheted ones sold two days ago over on Etsy. Maybe FunkieFresh will make some more.

...and cheaper, $40 + $7-$10 shipping? Do yourself a favor and spend the extra $20 on a used copy of Crackdown.

I've been on the fence about ordering some custom made ones on the intertubes or getting off my lazy ass and make some (probably not as funky as those though). But now I don't have to!! Some pads are hitting retail may 12th (take a look on EB's store) [www.ebgames.com]

the Drumshhh heads are better and don't make your set look like they belong to your grandmother.

The sock method both makes the drums more accurate and dampens the sound. It's just using rubberbands to attach tube socks on to of the pads.

I thought everyone just used the sock method. They're much nicer looking, though.

If my grandmother were still alive, she would be absolutely thrilled for me to actually *ask* her to knit something for me.

The Gum Rubber pads are the best "sound dampening" & "stick rebound improving" mod I've seen or used for Rock Band. Highly recommended.

I've always found that the loudness of the drums set the level for the volume that Harmonix wanted you to play the game at. Which would be, a very appropriate, "fuckin loud."
Why are you trying to ruin their dream?
