While I'm pretty excited for this, I am seriously concerned about one thing. I don't want this to be overly saturated with Street Fighter characters; give the Darkstalkers as well as some new properties a chance to shine. If half of the cast of the Capcom side is from Final fight or Street fighter it could hurt things; I mean seriously, I know they're a big part of Capcom's fighting game mythos, but allow some of the other guys a chance, plus having more street fighters so close to SF4's release could make things odd.

@Wreckoner: i was introduced to it as g-force as well. i remember when cartoon network first came out, i was 11 years old. i used to watch all kinds of hannah barbara cartoons.. like josie and the pussycats, and wait til your father gets home (reminded me of a tame 70s family guy). then there was this one show.. g force.. it was so great. i remember in middle school/early high school seeing it on the fox box as "eagle riders." i was mad. im stoked about this game though.

Technically it's "Science Ninja Team: Gatchaman", that's the name of the show in Japan. It was brought over here by Sandy Frank in the late 70s, originally with just some weird re-edits then they added an R2D2 clone after Star Wars came out and gave it a more 'space adventure' re-working (originally Gatchaman took place almost exclusively on Earth).

This show, along with the Galaxy Express anime (with the occasional appearance of Captain Harlock) defined what 'cool' was to me at an early age. Ah... the memories... *glee*

@Eville1: Yeah, it was strange, but it was also a reimagining of the original Casshern anime, so there are elements in that movie that only vaguely reference what the original material is like. An anime OVA was released in North America back in the '90s under the title of "Casshan." Some rental outlets might still carry copies, or alternatively it might be found on eBay. It's actually very good and might be worth hunting down if you can find it for the right price.

Was SFIII great? YES. Was CvS 2?....Kinda. Then again, it says a lot when your most popular fighting game is also considered the most absolutely BROKEN fighting game in the history of the genre ( even more so than Melee lololol1).

That goes for you, too ArcSys. Blazblue better not play like recent Guilty Gear titles or else I'll start sending my love letters to Yuki/EXAMU from now on (aside from ones I still send to SNK, on occasion)

It is kinda disappointing that it's not hi-res sprites, but then if it were, the game would take longer to release. Sprite frames take longer to draw frame by frame than animating a 3d model. Also, it's more likely we'd get changeable costumes with the 3d models, whereas sprites would only give color palette swaps at best.

I spent hours playing this last time I was in Japan (a few weeks ago). The game is completely mental and so much fun I didn't even feel guilty about sneaking out of a meeting to go and play it again.
