At Least the Console's Hooked Up

Re: Happy Seventh
This is gonna be short and sweet because the new apartment is still a Superfund site. I'm gonna have to live at IKEA for the next month. At least. I once thought about writing a screenplay about that, but then they came out with The Terminal.
At least the 360's hooked up and providing a welcome diversion from the clutter and crap scattered about. Priorities, right? But I'm gaming in a lawn chair perched in front of the TV because the couch is too far away and my old bridge commander chair is too damn big for the apartment.
Have an enjoyable and productive week. Here's some of what you missed.
GTA Multiplayer: Wait, I'm a Zombie?
Chocolate Rain on Mario Paint
Sexy New LEGO Indiana Jones Gameplay
A Pixel Cookie How-To
Designing the Single Player Economy
Capcom's Sushi Muse?

@phoenixavatar2: Are you really willing to commit yourself to a life of $2.99 swedish meatballs?

Just goes to show that gaming is a great break from the normal stresses of life.

ah bridge commander, what an awesome game.... even better with a chair that twirls around for that authentic "ingame" feel.

Yes, must see. I'm going to be sorely disappointed if it isn't ripped right out of Star Trek.

As long as you have access to your video games, there is no real reason to clean. Who cares if everything is a mess? As long as everything that matters is accessible and easily found, being any more neat and tidy is just being vain.

A lawn chair? Better than when I used to use one of those portable chaiurs that people bring to tailgating parties.
Personally, I either sit on the floor or sit in my computer chair.

Hate moving, so much mess and there is always a ton of stuff you just don't know where to put. Sometimes it's best just to get a KFC bucket, some booze and kick back in front of the TV. I think when I moved into my first place I had the second bedroom full of boxes until I moved out three years later. Ahh those were the days! :)

You could live in IKEA, but it has been so done.

For anybody who might not know what Superfund is, it's a Federal Clean-up system designed to reclaim places tainted by toxic waste.
(Created because of the Love Canal incident).
The more you know!

Don't buy any of their crappy coffee tables made of paper, nor any of their floor lamps.
You'll be happy for about 5 minutes after you've put them together, but then the next day, everything's fucking wobbly (LACK coffee table) or crooked (Horup floor lamp). Pieces of crap.
The LACK tv bench, on the other hand, has served me well... Billy bookcases are pretty solid, also.

I'd be laughing at you if there weren't a few boxes of Ikea stuff at my new apartment waiting for me to put it together.

@Palladium:
I actually did know that. Whether that's a good or bad thing is open to debate.
Also, finding out your house is on a Superfund site is probably a good reason to start being paranoid.

Think moving sucks out there?
Here in Montreal, because of some freak cultural phenomenon, moving day is the first of July. For (almost) everyone.
Picture a large percentage of the city ALL moving at once. Pizzerias have trouble keeping up, cube rentals go through the roof. Oh, and the housing crisis it generates each year.
But it's a self-perpetuating problem; if most people move on the 1st of July, it means most of them will have leases that will also end on a 1st of July.

I suggest house warming party with game cakes and a 'round off of the consoles on various multiplayer games.
Alright, anyone willing to foot my plane ticket?... Anyone?....
