I remember the first time they did this large chunks of the Wiimote stayed intact and didn't blend very well. I guess they have a more powerful blender this time around.

These things have been ruined. It used to be that they just showed what it was and tried to blend it... now that they've got a bit of a budget they try to do a little "skit" whenever they blend something.

Let's first ignore the fact that all wiimote's come with strps pre-installed and you can get more for free. Besides that, it's obvious that neither of the men in that clip remotely know what a wii or wiimotes are. (Note he says we'll put both wiis in there... they aren't wiis you idiot, they are wiimotes!)

Also the sayonara comment isn't clever, isn't vaguely related to nintendo at all (it's a japaneese company, but their US division makes up the majority of their sales) and might be considered just a tad racist. A button based on a popular nintendo game would have been more clever. (Ba-bomb, Blue shell, ect..)

I wouldn't call the "sayonara" bit or bowing racist. It's the "strapless" bit that I don't get. Don't all the Wiimotes include straps, and is he really jumping on that bandwagon of "the Wiimote broke my TV?" I never use the damn straps, period.

Despite all the negative comments on this particular 'will it blend' I will say this:

The 'Will It Blend' commercials (Yes they are advertisements.) are probably the most original, funny, and creative idea for a ad since the [adult swim] text based 'bumps'. So while you may go out and complain about how they are insulting and pandering to groups of people, you should at least realize its better than than any 'Taco Bell', 'Geico' or even the somewhat enjoyable 'Price Line' commercials, and its infinitely better than 99.999% of the dumbed down, sensation dowsing phlegm that is aired on television (even most of the Super Bowl ads.)

I would be fucking terrified to put my hand on top of that blender while it well blends. Has the though of something shooting out the top and stabbing his hand not crossed his mind? I mean yea hazardous vapors boo friggin hooo, I'm sure he has cancer by now. But Gibbing your hand?~?!!! Then will his hand blend???? That'd be a great finally. A radio station did this one a good while back. In fact, it was with the same brand of blenders. In that case, the Wii Remote didn't blend and it even jammed the blender (which cost something like 300 dollars, and had no trouble chunking up golf balls), so I assume they are using a better blender in this case.
