My brother-in-law worked at a video-production company for a time and they shot a commercial with KG. He said he had a laundry list of demands and that he had it in his contract that he would only do a dunk for the shot three times. It doesn't surprise me that this is the pose they got out of him.

I've watched Garnett in Minnesota since he was a rookie... he really applies himself to the game and you can't fault him there... but he's a fucking primadonna of the highest order. He's done more than his fair share of work sabotaging teammates (Wally Sczerbiack is a great example) and pouting when he doesn't get his way (phoning it in at the end of the season, going on vacation when he's "injured" for the last five games, etc).

@Mike918: I'm torn on whether or not I want them to. I don't like Boston because of the choke hold bias it has on ESPN right now, and I don't like the Lakers because I grew up in Northern California. And one thing you definitely know growing up, it's that you hate any team from LA...all the time.

But Paul Pierce over reacting to an injury and then coming back will undoubtedly be the most overblown story on ESPN for the coming days.

@music2134: Um, did you watch the regular season at all? Do you think it was the celtics overpowering offense that won them 66 games? They are easily one of the top three defensive clubs in the league, and seeing as they just beat one of the other 2 in that category in the last series...

I'm not a celtics fan at ALL, but Kevin Garnett and their defensive assistant pretty much transformed this team on defense, and that deserves respect if nothing else.

Also on the cover, KG is such a beast he needs no fake pose to communicate his powers.

I take it you're not familiar with Tom Thibodeau, the fact that the Celtics game up the second-least PPG, and the fact that the Celtics average scoring margin was the largest in the league by far. Kobe was off because they played great defense.

This ain't 2004, and you can't say the Lakers lost the game (or potentially, the series), the Celtics won it.

P.S. - Paul Gasol looks like Admiral Ackbar. It's a trap!
