I loved the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance. One of the few games I still play now. I just picked up Marvel Civil War, so I hope to have it finished by the time this comes out, keep the story fresh in my mind so I can dive right into the game.

Loved the first one, I played it through in one sitting (no joke). Always had Deadpool, Wolverine, Spider-Man and a varying character in my team. Kick. Ass.

Hopefully everything took an upgrade. It would be nice if this game used a closer camera and a more polished fighting system. Either way, I may try it depending on what I find out about it up to release. I never really finished the first one though so I'm not too excited for it just yet.

Hey if its during Civil War then I guess Hulk isn't playable. Unless (Write this down marvel) they have a "World War Hulk" download/expansion in the future.

Even still, this will just be a rental for me because I didn't care for the X-Men games or the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games. Hopefully they change a few things so that its more approachable for me.

The Civil War story line segued into the dumbest story line ever with Secret Invasion. Stark's really become quite the douche during Civil War, this could be a great game if the story is interesting enough.

I enjoyed Legends more than Ultimate Alliance. Even with my friend playing co-op with me over LIVE it felt like too much of a crawl. But I'm with the early commenters-- Deadpool is the key. I don't think he ever left my party.

@Arklop: I agree they should put him in and I believe a lot complained the last game, but their excuse is that his wings would take up too much of the screen. IMO they could just make them translucent when they are out and makes them smaller when he lands.
I don't see it happening though.

I find the last game played very well on the psp especially with a friend that owns a copy. I'll probably pick it up for that. Human Torch was amazing in the last game.

Hulk wasn't in Civil War, He was sent into deep space, and he ended up conquering planets and shit.

I didn't play through the first UA, basically because the levels seemed to be drawn out quite a bit. I quit before the second level's end boss. But Civil War? **looks over at my Civil War Collection**, ugh, fine.

Hm, now this is interesting. Two playable factions? If this means that there will essentially be two story modes, with characters from the other faction showing up as bosses, it could make for a really interesting campaign. While Ultimate Alliance 1's story mode started off strong, it ended up being "throw people in there just for the hell of it".

I'm hopeful that the "over 20 playable characters" means "over 25 playable characters" since that's how many UA 1 had. There were plenty of good characters who were left out, so lets bump up the roster a bit, eh?

The one thing I'm iffy over is the concept of "fusing the powers of two characters together", how does that make any sense? Unless, of course, it ends up being a "create your own hero" feature. If handled properly, that would be a sweet feature in such a role-playing game.

I wasn't a big fan of M: UA. It was pretty repetitive and it didn't have a superhero vibe to it. Instead of fighting on skyscraper roof tops I'm fighting in a giant pinball machine and in some sort of viking village? What the hell?

If this is a Civil War game, there should be no Hulk, as he was in exile on another planet at the time.

What they *should* do is set a game during World War Hulk, because he had like 5 minions that would make perfect bosses, and fighting Hulk as the end boss would be fucking amazing.

If I remember correctly, the only mutant that bothered fighting for any cause or purpose was Wolverine (but I can't say I enjoyed his whole government conspiracy storyline). I don't see Storm, Rogue, or Gambit having any part in this game if it is taking place during Civil War.

Expect big players from Civil War: Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Captain America, The Punisher, Thor, Wolverine, etc.
