I was won of the millions who wasted a good portion of college playing D2 and LOD, right before WOW came out.

Blizzard knows how to make a Diablo game and this will be worth getting regardless of whether or not you've played the others.

Just watched the Gameplay and Cinematic trailers at Blizzard.com.

Maybe I'm getting old but it seemed like a prettied-up version of the same old Diablo to me..

Graphically it was prettier, there are a few elements of WoW in there(the hotbar), a lot less potion quaffing but essentially the same.

Also, since it's a Blizzard game, expect another 24-36 months before it launches at well. Blizzard games have the same gestation period as your average elephant usually.

1) Actually being able to visually customize a character with detail (Seeing as how this is blizzard, this isn't very likely)

In our ADHD ensconsed world, I think it's a telling factor that so many of us (myself included) can sit completely enthralled for 19 minutes. I didn't even notice the time flying by, and was sad to see it end.

It's been said previously, but Blizzard have done an amazing feat by keeping this all under wraps. How did they manage to get something so "finished" without anything seeping out into the real world.

Time to dust off my old Diablo CDs to "refresh" on the backstory again, just like I had to do with my Starcraft CDs. Not that I'm complaining in any way!

Do not doubt Blizzard. They are very much like Pixar in being able to take what looks to be a stale or unpopular concept and make it work extremely well. They will only ship perfection, and I think their fans expect nothing less. I wasn't the biggest D2 fan, but I did sink a decent amount of time into it, making it through nightmare, and so I'm looking forward to this, thought not quite as much as SC2.
