At this point, I'm wondering if they just put things out there to get people to keep talking about this game. At this point I'm wondering if this is just some big experiment in viral marketing. That being said, I am still waiting on this game, 10 years strong.

I think the more interesting news isn't as much the screenshot, as the 360 emphasis, since I don't think they specified exactly what platforms the game would exist on. The plea for help is definitely said it a more "jest" way, but the idea that they actually want to move faster is kind of promising. Maybe we can have this game before most of the Kotaku populace shuffles off their mortal coil.

@Soleyu & Itchy (PSN: Kaizoku-ou): It's quite possible they might be gearing up for a Multiplayer pack that they've decided to add at the last minute (considering how many times they've "restarted" this isn't outside the realm of possibility). Or maybe even their LD's have become so accustomed/jaded to what they are working on that they need fresh faces to look at things.

Either that or you are correct and they will never ship inside this decade.

I've been waiting for this game for ten years and I don't think it's going to suck. I just think that it'll have to be the equivalent of Halo, The Godfather, Kind of Blue and the Era of Good Feelings, all baked into a delicious chocolate cake, in order to be worth the wait.
