@alb1221: i'm guessing you're at least a bit of a nintendo fan, judging by your display pic, so i'd reccomend you get a wii for the usual nintendo games. however, seeing as you don't have one already, i'm guessing you're in no rush, so my advice to you is to wait til the fad wears off - you'll pick one up second hand for a fraction of what you'd pay now.

I feel that the DS has more crappy casual games than the Wii, but I do understand your complaints. I got to Blockbuster, and they have 1 copy of Lego Indiana Jones, and 10 times as many crappy casual games I feel bad if anyone rents.

Forgive me ahead of time for this kind of derailing, but I have to get something off my chest!

It seems Nintendo isn't interested in putting time into developing for it's core supporters anymore, and this is exactly why I ddon't have a Wii. The minute a vast and beautiful Zelda exclusive or Rare-era type game comes out I'll be all over it. Right now, though, it seems I'll have to see what Sony and Microsoft has to Offer. I miss the days of beautiful sprawling environments being emphasized over making ridiculous gestures. Sure, it's fun with friends and has great gimmick value - but to what length has the gaming press discussed this as a detriment? Links to articles would be wonderful.

The development world and Nintendo internally seem to be using Wii as excuse to rehash and bundle games with simplified mechanics and little to no story or depth. No wonder people like Roger Ebert say there is no art involved in game design - people think Wii IS gaming. I've been playing a great deal of Donkey Kong Country era SNES games and realizing what the Wii is sorely missing, so excuse my butt-hurt fanboy rhetoric, I'm done ranting for now.

@alb1221: Lets Wait for E3. Were still missing Wii versions of F-Zero, Starfox, Piltowings, Pikmin and so on. Same on DS. One thing is for sure, you can expect Animal Crossing with full online near Xmas. I retain my faith in the Big N.

@alb1221: I'd agree normally but Nintendo did state that they had some 'core games' announcements for E3 so I'm going to give them another chance. If they don't impress at E3 then I've not really got anything to say for there treatment of core fans.

This does kind of suck though, I read the title and thought something good would be announced yet it's just a bit of duff. A wario game and a number counting game. Go Europe *rolls eyes*

This isn't justice. And it doens't make up for Smash Bros in any way. I would guess it's just how things worked out fiscally.

I hate math. Nintendo is going to make me cry. I already have all the wii games I want, and have hardly used my wii since I got my PS3. There are still many ps3 games I want: Tekken 6, Endwar, Sims 3, etc.

i can only think of one way that this game can go

basically for those who dont know, 99.9% of any combination of 4 numbers between 1-9 can give you a 10.
the only rules are, no zeros, no repeating of numbers

so 1234 = 10 because 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 (10)
or 2871 = 10 because 8 / 2 (4) - 1 (3) + 7 (10)
etc etc

@alb1221: You are so missing out. While twilight princess was also on GC. The new Paper mario and Mario Galaxy are fantastic. Metroid is also rather good. Zakk and Wiki was great. I loved trauma center. Not to mention Lost winds.

Nearly all of those games had fun and interesting use of the remote as well.

Why is the summer line-up for Wii always so damned weak? This happened last year when the games I'd bought between December and June had to last me until next December.

Also, hands up if you can spot an Original IP on that list.

I can't wait for PC leftovers from 3 years ago!

Oh well, at least I'll get to complete the games I already have :|

Just a teensey thing that even Nintendo have missed it seems: Okami's been released in the UK already. To pretty much no promotion whatsoever. I don't remember seeing a shred of advertising actually. I just wandered into Gamestation the other day and BAM, it was on the shelves. Got it from Game for a tenner less, but that's another story. And before then the release date was thrown all over the place when looking at the online retailers.

But this is sadly what we expect with promotion of third party titles which could actually knock some of this shovelware off the charts.

Rant over. Looking forward to WarioLand and, goodness me, it's a release date for Ace Attorney 3. Another four months waiting for no good reason at all... Brilliant. Thank heck for imports.
