Hahaha! Mario's not Italian, you suckers. He just moonlights for Nintendo, does the odd bit of product promotion here and there. Helps put the kids through college. No, for the other six days of the week, he's no plumber. He's a drunk, Mexican restaurant mascot by the name of Pancho Bigotes! Or Pancho Whiskers, if you will. I don't know about you, but Super Paper Pancho Bigotes would only be the most awesome game ever, Nintendo. Ever. You hear me?

Universally flogged for his lackluster performance in the uninspiring Mario Kart Wii, Mario escapes to Mexico, and opens a branch of themed Mexican cuisine eateries.
He is soon discovered, and forced to create yet another iteration of Mario Party: "Fiesta Edition."

My really small hometown is finally getting a Mexican restaurant. I'll be greatly disappointed if they don't have Pancho Bigotes as their mascot.

I smell a sequel to Mario Sunshine! Perhaps this will help launch a Mario's Vacations spin-off franchise.
I'll admit, I got pretty tired of additions to the Mario crew like Waluigi and then the constant influx of "baby" characters. Pancho looks like he could breathe new life into the Mario character lineup!

You all don't know that Pancho Bigotes is the last playable character in Mario Kart Wii. You need to unlock all characters and eat a couple of tacos in front of your Wii (with lots of chili sauce), and you get it! He has the ultimate vehicle also: A donkey (with a mexican hat of course), and it's faster than the fastest motorcycle.

This usage of a kid-friendly icon to market alcohol will not go down well with any of the Mexican special interest groups geared towards keeping inner-city kids away from drugs, gangs, and alcohol, particularly Super Barrio Mothers, who have spearheaded anti-'shroom campaigns in the past. Really this is just a recipe for conflict.
