Heck, just watching that video with Robin Williams getting up to design his own creature made me think, "this game is in BIG time trouble". Take a look at the sporepedia right now. There are almost 200,000 creatures. Yes, that's right, almost a quarter of a million, and the full creature creator was just released today. By the time spore ships, I imagine this number will be much, much greater.

In the average single player game, which will be pollinated dynamically by the server with other user's creatures, how many different creatures do you expect to encounter? 100? 1000? 10000? out of hundreds of thousands? Even if the server selects them completely randomly, there would have to be a hell of a lot of penis monsters for there to be an appreciable chance of you getting one. On top of that, the higher rated content will likely be served preferentially, further screwing the chance of penis monster infestation. Unless, of course, you go LOOKING for penis monsters, to which I say, more power to you.

I just think that the issue is blown a just little out of proportion.
