I agree with you about Phil and Peter(well he has his moments) I like to listen to Major's podcast though.He does have some good interviews on there.

Of course all of my podcast time goes to the 1up show,1up yours and 1up fm(the kids show).The best group of podcasts in the business!

@Sammo21: Agreed. I stopped listening to his podcast a while ago. It was basically just him and "E" talking about how many new gadgets they bought and how expensive their gaming setups were. Ugh.

As soon as I see "Trixie" associated with anything I just stay away. I'm sure she's a nice person and all, but she's obnoxious whenever she happens to stumble onto Major Nelson's podcast.

Yeah, I have no personal issues with him obviously, but I can't stand anyone who has that, as Murmaider (love the name, btw, Metalokalypse rocks) described it, "Corporate Cool Guy" vibe. Even most Sony PR people and Nintendo people come off like that, especially Reggie (who just always seems so dam arrogant to me). Only people I seemed to enjoy are Phil Harrison and Peter Moore (who arent with Sony or MS anymore), but I also like to listen to Peter Molyneax talk...dam you British people and your ability to capture my attention!

I know that Major Nelson is a essentially a shill for his company, but the stuff he does and what the Live community does on Xbox Live makes your system feel alive and current.

I always look forward to downloading the E3 videos they have on Xbox Live.

Apart from Fallout 3, Fable 2 is all I'm really looking forward to from E3 this year. Apart from the keynotes from the big 3 that, ideally, tell me something I don't already know.

It was a bit disappointing looking through IGN's top 10 things they were looking forward to most this year. Resistence 2 we just heard a lot about recently, another E3 of Killzone 2 doesn't sound as exciting as its first, LittleBigPlanet I don't really want to see anymore until I can actually play it, Gears 2 I've gotten enough of a taste of -- save for whatever weapon group that Cliff didn't elaborate on in the earlier interview/video...

Give me Alan Wake and LA Noir and I'll change my mind. Though, naturally, LA Noir most likely won't be covered by Microsoft.

I'm not being a troll here, but does Major Nelson just come off uber cheesy compared to other PR talking heads? I get aggravated anytime I start to hear him talk, almost the same way I reacted when I saw Jeff Bell at E3 last year.

Bwah! Now that's a marketing machine rolling at high gears. Larry makes it sound so exiting when they have guys going around and "grabbing as many controllers as they can" on the showfloor when they could simply show you all the games to you without all the hassle. I guess this stuff supposedly still works if they bother to do it.

I'm very curious to see if Microsoft will unveil something that everyone doesn't already know. Last E3 was just confirmation of the fall titles that were coming. MS had the worst press conference also.

Unreal Tourney III is Amazon's video game of the day and is only $44.99 today versus the normal $59.99. Anyone thinking about picking it up may want to know that. They rarely discount new titles like that.

On-topic: I am quite curious to see all the pressers this year. This is quite the turning point of "The War." Should be good fun next week.

The Major is very cheezy and always preaching the company line. But if you can look past that, MS is always keeping it's users informed of mostly good news. It seems like every week there is always something they are doing for xbox fans.

This has really prompted Sony to step up and provide for their users. Trophies, Playstation Blog, in game XMB would never have happened if MS wasn't kicking their ass so much.
