A nice, quick, practical look at the stages, classes and outfits you'll be able to select when engaging in Killzone 2's multiplayer aspect. It all looks nice enough, but really, it's all upstaged by Brian Cox, rambling like a madman.
@MyLittlePwny: well, to be fair, they've only made 3 games. Killzone Liberation on the PSP was pretty damn good. I'll go as far and say it was AWESOME!!!!
For comparision sake, Bungie didn't make their first AAA till HALO. I bought ONI when it first came out and while it was okay, it wasn't really triple A. Hopefully, KZ2 will have a public beta.

Looks very good, can't wait to see this one fleshed out and we'll probably see a multiplayer Demo hit PSN by fall.
I wonder which would have been a better decision, pushing Killzone 2 into the holidays and leaving Resistance 2 for early next year, or the set-up they have now.
I personally think Resistance 2 is a stronger title (or, rather, I have more reason to believe it is -- I haven't played either) and would be able to hold its own and keep up with sales for its competition, but I also think it doesn't need the holidays to boost its sales.
If Killzone 2 goes into the holidays, if it's great, fantastic, but if its only good, it'll benefit a ton from the launch window. Even, worst case scenario, if it's terrible, it's only a short few months to its savior on the horizon.
Does anyone else agree or am I talking out of my ass?
yea they were great titles. I wasn't trying to diss bungie. I consider Vagrant Story for the PS1 to be a great title but it's not really a AAA title. I'm just saying, reputation alone doesn't guarantee whether a game is great/AAA until we as gamers play it. If you think about it, Factor 5 made Star Wars: Rogue Squadron, but then came out with Lair (which is not as bad most publications make it out to be). Another example is Silicon Knights, which released thier wonderful gamecube title Eternal Darkness. However, early indications are not so comparable to Too Human. To be fair though, I am going to play Too Human and find out for myself before I judge.

Bungee was fairly untested before Halo came out. Sure, they had some great games (Marathon and Myth series) but they really hadn't produced anything that would be considered a "AAA" title. Just niche PC and Mac titles.
We all know how that turned out.
I'm not trying to imply that Killzone 2 is going to be a success on the level of Halo, or even a system seller. Especially since a console FPS is kind of run-of-the-mill these days. It's not exactly a new idea to have character classes in a video game.
It's the multiplayer version, so it's natural to have slimmed-down graphics. Though, in their single-player videos, so much was drawn onscreen, that the multiplayer shouldn't be much heavier. Or maybe they just haven't polished the multiplayer levels yet.
Or the vast amount of things to blow-up there is almost enough already to saturate the network-connection with physics-data, and adding more detail will exponentially increase the bandwidth demands well over current sane levels. HL2:deathmatch, with the simple non-destructible physics and just a few objects, is already enough to kill your internet.
@Candlejack: I gotta agree with Candlejack. I think the art direction is great.

Guys, take the fanboy goggles off and stop calling Killzone 2 "generic." Halo 3 did absolutely nothing different from other FPS's...and it's still one of the best games out there. Yet Killzone 2 is the first FPS I've ever seen with a cover system that lets you stay in first-person the whole time, and people say it's "generic." What a joke...

I don't know what else people need to see that they say this game is just your "average FPS". This game is looking more and more amazing the more videos I see. I play a lot of FPS and this game is looking epic beyond belief. I feel like jumping around after seeing the multi player, all I can say is WOW!

@kojirodensetsu: Ya i cant quite put my finger on it, but besides the graphics, this game doesn't really stand out to me.

It looks to be a fun bit of multiplayer, but I really hope they go in a bit deeper than it's showing. Right now its seeming fun, but very, very generic.
