Sweet Pyro Costume from Down Under

Reader Paul from Australia sends in this pic (and two others) of his homebrewed homage to Pyro from Team Fortress 2. Naturally, because this is how my mind works, I thought "well if Pyro is a female character, this dude is running around in girls' clothes". I kid! I keeeed! The mask is right on, but the suit's not the same texture as Pyro's rubberised get-up, which in addition to being expensive would also look like fetish gear. What. What?!
No really, I think I have a strange form of Tourette's, that causes me to blurt out wildly inappropriate, if not profane, things. Fahey and Leigh can attest to that. So can my girlfriend from my senior year of high school. We saw "Ghost" on a date and, while she was crying during the scene where Patrick Swayze possesses the mystic's body so he can hold his wife one last time, I leaned in close to whisper, "You know, what's really going on here, is Demi Moore is actually dancing with and kissing Whoopi Goldberg". And I wondered why I was a teenage virgin.

I would say it's not often you see a leather clad person of unknown sex with a muffling gas mask and a flamethrower standing threateningly outside a game store. I would say that, but I don't lie.

The mask is pretty sweet, pretty much the most accurate I've seen. The rest of the costume is as good as real world reflections can be... But, the Flamer...

Hmm, I think I should build a proper flamethrower - an empty propane tank isn't that heavy, and it'd be totally worth it.

That's a lot of effort...most Pyro cosplays I've seen only have a partially-covering face mask, and gloves nowhere near as detailed as this guy's.

@Crimson (PS3 ID Black--Tiger): I agree, the costume is impressive, but the weapon needs some work. I made a flamethrower and sent it to Kotaku and they used it for a header imagine in an article completely unrelated to cosplay. :(
I want him to be carrying this.

Glad you guys like it :) I Made it a few months ago for the release of the of the Team Fortress 2 Pyro Patch.
As it is it's on Ebay atm , Just look up Pyro Costume ^_^;

@ the Person who didn't like the flame thrower, I could of made it so much better, but the rules of the Cosplay Comp Stated all weapons had to be plastic.
Try Making a Flame thrower out of plastic one day ;) It's not as easy as it looks.
