i've got the post gta4 blues and am having trouble getting into another game.

i was gonna buy civ revolutions but i am also interested in the colonization expansion that's coming out for civ4 on the pc. i know it's not (the other kind of) pc, but i have very fond memories of the original and am hemming and hawing about it. what's a gamer to do in a world where choosing what what game you buy has become a political decision?

on a lighter note dc has started releasing a free 12 part watchman "animated comic" that's based on dave gibbon's original art on itunes. the first chapter is just over 25 minutes long and nicely done for any one that's interested.

@ComixZone: Yea I beat it, probably won't be touching it this weekend anymore. Apparently I wasn't even 15 hours into the game when I first posted. I just finished watching both evil endings. I didn't even hit 14 hours, though it seemed like I had been playing all day every day, time went by like nothing when I was in front of it. The game was definitely fun enough to go back through as a "good" hero, maybe next weekend.

@dawimp523: Be careful to not wear yourself out of MGS4 before Act 3, it is heavily dosed with cut scenes and can get boring. Just a heads up. I don't know how Acts 4 & 5 are, as after Act 3 I had to take a break.

I cannot tell you how awesome Ocarina of time is, and I recommend finishing it.

I purchased TP with my Wii long ago and have yet to boot it up... I was just commenting to a friend that after MGS4 I owe it to myself to start on TP. :)

FFTA2 - Missing with 99% all the time limits how much time I can spend with this game.

@mackincheese - Metroid ZM is a great idea, may play that.

Also I cannot push Mario Strikers Charged enough. If you have a Wii, give it a try. It is much better than any other Mario Sports game by far, and is somewhat addictive.

Today was AWESOME for me! I finished Act 1 of MGS4, played Pain, played the PixelJunk Eden demo & the PixelJunk Racers demo. I really want to buy PixelJunk Monsters since I have that demo & the game is only $5 + PJM Encore for $6. Right now, I'm downloading the Uncharted demo. I want to play that eventually, as well as Burnout Paradise, R&C, Rock Band, and others I can't think of right now. Tomorrow, I only work until 2 pm! More time for games!! I'll try to start Act 2 of MGS4. Sunday, I work from 1-7 pm, so I won't have much time to play then.

I feel sorry for my Wii right now; I haven't played it in a week. I still want to finish Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

I have GOT to get to this post earlier next week!

I was having a need for my Dreamcast the other day, except I gave it away to my young nephew 2 years ago (he loves it and he's 10 BTW). Since I didn't have a DC I did the next best thing- picked up some legacy titles that are sequels to some DC heavy hitters (hey it's all relative).

For the 360 I picked up Jet Set Radio Future (it's on the BC list) for less than 10 bucks used, and it's in great shape. On PS3 I found Virtua Tennis 3 for $11.00 NEW! (clearance sale at my local GS) Then there's Sega Rally Revo for $19.99 new.

The best nostalgia factor? VT3 by far. I remember burning way too many hours on 1 and 2, and VT3 has that same addictive fun that the first two had. The JSRF still looks great in its cell-shaded style and plays better than the original. Sega Rally Revo has its heart in the right place but is pretty different from what I remember. Still fun tho.

This weekend my PS3 and 360 are wearing a Dreamcast mask!
