Afro Samurai Slips To January

Ah, Fall 2008. It's the Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, because early on in a year, Fall 2008 seems to be the Promised Land of game releases. Everything's coming out in that pleasantly hazy "Fall 2008" window.
That is, until the delays begin. "Fall 2008" is liable to become any date from October to February, and that's exactly what's happened with the impressive-looking Afro Samurai, now delayed to January 27th. Feels funny calling it a "delay" when we never really had a date, huh?

This is good news for me :) 1-less wallet blow, seeing as the 360 "autumn" speculated line-up is looking rather posh.
Hopefully with this set-back they can improve the game further, add more content and perhaps maybe add new storyline that goes further then the 5-episodic anime.

I don't like calling the season between Summer and Winter 'Fall'. Autumn just sounds so much cooler.
Erm, anyway, I love the style of the game, but I wasn't really impressed by the video. I'll wait for the reviews, of course, but the combat seemed a tad lacking. I hope this 'delay' will result in a very polished game.

Awesome news. Now I have an extra 60 to spend this Christmas. The last sentence makes a good point. Is it really a delay, or are they just giving us a solid release date?

Yay! My wallet is saved $60 for the time being. Can;t wait for it to come out though, but I would be broke since I already payed off Conquest, Force Unleashed and Bioshock.

saw the trailer for this game. I can't say I was impressed. Looked like shovelware to be honest, with just a few little details here and there.

That was strange, just (like two minutes ago) finished watching the show again. Hope the game is as good as the show - wishful thinking.

this game should not ship until it looks like the anime .. the crosshatch thing is nice but not true to form.

Good lord... that looks... meaty. And in less a Grey's Anatomy way, and more of a "here be innardz" way - sweet.
And OMG... he sliced a layer of pantleg and it tracked it separately from the body... that's detail!
