@Ghirofelgo: I honestly can't see this game working though. Somewhat of a good concept, but just like City of Heroes/Villains, it's doesn't have the "something" or that "something" is just worn out.

@drunkentyger: No, you don't get to be Superman or Batman or any of the DC superheroes / villains, instead you create your own hero / villain and inhabit the same world as the DC characters. Then for instance if you're a villain and you start trashing down-town Metropolis, you're gonna have to Superman to answer to. Sounds like a great concept if you ask me (plus any MMO on a console is going to get my attention.) There's an article on it in this month's Edge.

@FrigidAir44: Dude are you crazy? If those are in-game screens then those graphics are amazing. You've gotta remember that this is an MMO so it's not gonna be the best looking game but this looks just as good or better than a lot of games out there right now. I wasn't interested in this game before but now I am.

The fact that it's SOE is killing it for me. The management for their games has been so inconsistent that its almost a guarantee that they'll find a way to screw this up. Call me pessimistic, i still hope I'm wrong about this one.

I'm always of the opinion that any Superhero MMO style game that takes place in an established world is going to come up lacking if for no other reason than the world is full of established characters that, by default are much cooler than you.

No matter how much of a badass, streetsmart vigilante I make, no matter what kind of superpowered boyscout I decide I want cruising around saving the day I still have Superman and Batman looming over me reminding me what a poser twat I am.

This is like making a game populated entirely by Justice League recruitment washouts.

As for that Joker render, where the hell is his neck? What kind of skinny noodle neck is keeping his goofy looking melon from floating off into space?
