Capcom Wants To See You At E3

Ever since E3 trimmed down and went invite-only, the general public has had a hell of a time trying to wrangle their way inside. Capcom is looking to make it a bit easier for a select few to get their hands on the latest the company has to offer with their Go to E3 with Capcom contest. Simply head over to the Capcom blog and send a message to CapcomContest with the word E3 in the title for a chance to stop by their booth next Thursday from 12:00 to 1:30 PM.
As I mentioned, our booth is not big (though it's packed with goodness, including of course all our new games, and a mysterious Street Fighter IV rug!), so to get in, you MUST BE ON THE LIST!

Tell Capcom I want Darkstalkers 4 (was 3 the last one? I forgot), and if they make it, then I might see about checking them out at E3. But it might also help if Capcom shells out some bucks for a plane ticket for me. And it would also help if E3 actually let non-industry types show up as well, like in previous years that weren't last year.
But now I'm curious what a SF4 rug looks like. Is that code for something?

I wouldnt even waste my time going to E3 this year.
Still would be pretty cool to go and sit on the SF4 rug and play some RE:5. Do you have to live in LA (thats where its at this year right?) or will they fly you out?

The rug is just a SF4 logo, nothing to see here. My buddy actually made it for Capcom.

Oh...man. And I thought E3 was dead before.
Now I realize how foolish I was. Mysterious rugs? If every game at E3 had a mysterious rug, it'd be even bigger than the old days!

This seems awfully nice of Capcom. Not to mention they must be showing some late builds of their games. If they show a beta phase game in there and some joe plays it, watch out! He's going to rip it to shreds (online) before he knows the full gist of it.
@Murderdolls: On that note. Any idea which site is showing the pressers live? I know IGN has it. Any other one? =D
I want to watch it too!

Well I threw my name in the hat. I live in L.A. and have never been able to get in, unfortunately my age has slapped me in the face a few times.
I get excluded from many contests and surveys because I don't fall into the ideal gamer age bracket. (I'm 45)
It's VERY apparent when I get gaming surveys. As soon as my age is requested I get the usual B.S. response something like "you do not qualify for this survey".
If it wasn't for ppl like me throwing every last quarter into the arcades in their youth, there might not be a gaming industry.

The rug is definitely the sweetest video game rug I have ever seen, just lowering expectations of nude Chun-li's and LCD rugs. It would be cool if they auctioned it off after E3.

Dear Capcom,
It's nice that you want to see me at E3. However, I don't want to see you unless it's with Monster Hunter 3 and Monster Hunter Frontier in hand. Just GTFO E3 if you're not bringing the Hunt with you, because Street Fighter is old, boring news.

It'd be nice to go to E3, but it's not worth the airline fees and hassles of flying across the country.

A mysterious rug? That's probably the coolest thing that's ever been at E3. I guess because they're not trying to hype it up, or sell it in any way.

That's exciting. I hope I can weasel a way to go to E3. I don't know that I can, but I know that our company used to (before I worked there) offer a membership to the best customers for something called "Asylum," and it included a pass to E3.
I'm going to find a way to go if only for that mysterious rug.
