@Coquiton: True. And I forgot the fresh IGN preview, which is very positive. Probably not the AAA we've been looking for, but still a good game apparently. And there's still time to iron out some of the problems.

I think the whole game is obscuring, everything seems to let out flashes and streams (when you throw the ball), and it doesn't help that the players are little 2d figures that also flash and shoot streams.

I don't like those lighting effects. The blast of light when you catch the ball (or get hit? hard to tell...) obscures everything, makes the game hard to follow. It's just too big/bright.

Seeing the video has made me even less excited for the game. Dodgeball on a console will always involve throwing a ball at high speeds to kill opponents and travel the world.

Kasplat, think of just about every console hit in the last two years. Now add the next consecutive number to the end of the title, and voila! Those are the games to 'anticipate' on consoles.

@kasplat: How the hell did you turn this into a flame war? To answer your question, there's Too Human, Gears 2 and Fable 2 360-side. For PS3 there's Resistance 2, Socom, Motorstorm 2 and LittleBigPlanet. On both there's Fallout 3, Call of Duty, End War, Mercs 2 and I'm sure there are some JRPGs coming out but I'm not a fan so I don't have their dates. If you have enough time to play all these games in the fall maybe you should and go back to school.

There seems to be too much emphasis on Live Arcade, PSN, and Wii downloadable games. Normally, by this time of the year I have a good size list of games I'm looking forward to for the crowded fall gaming season and this year I have Little Big Planet (PS3), Gears 2 (Xbox 360), and well, nothing for Nintendo, they seem to have spent their wad on the major franchises last year.

Yes the PC is getting Lich King and Warhammer Online, but where's the big list of must haves for the consoles this fall? Surely we aren't doomed to small "casual friendly" games.
