E3 2008 Is Over, But Our Coverage Lives On

It's official. E3 2008 has given up the ghost. Time of death was approximately 4:08 PM Pacific Standard Time. I learned of the news when visiting Midway's office to get a hands-on demo with Wheelman and noticed that the This Is Vegas presentation stations were being torn down. So sad.
But there's a silver lining! Our coverage will continue despite this tragedy. Expect loads more hands-on impressions, media, out of context quotes, and analysis over the following days. E3 coverage... you're soaking in it!

I'm actually surprised at the amount of games that didn't hit E3. Tekken 6 is a good example - that was announced in 05 and there has been minimal coverage of a console version to date.

I'm not going to miss this year's E3. Just served to highlight the fact we simply don't need it any longer. And I'm a bit disappointed you guys didn't use E3 as an excuse to show off Gallagher's heinous mop. Not even once! What gives, Kotaku?

Be-leave it or not I will miss it. It wasn't great but hey, it is the best, biggest and fastest growing industry in the U.S. right now.

Imagine if we didn't have Kotaku and other gaming blogs? E3 would have been super exciting! We wouldn't have known about Microsoft's new interface, avatars, lips, etc.. And Nintendo's Wiimote plus, and Sony's..and Sony's..hmm. I'll get back to you on that last one.

@Emiat: I beg to differ. This years E3 was a hell of a lot better than last years, that's for damn sure. Sure, Nintendo's and Sony's keynotes weren't that good, but Microsoft's was and that is definitely enough to make this years E3 worth while. Plus, the announcement of a few big games. Not super freakin' awesome, but still not bad.
Maybe E3 will return to its glory days next year, but that is still very doubtful.
