Wasn't it Kotoku that broke news of Square Enix's big cheese being pissed due to poor sales and key folks making only the games they wanted for the systems they wanted?

Square Enix has been waisting money left and right--they probably need to recuperate lost funds stat! What better way than to release a huge name like FF on a system with a huge install base?

Is it true this game won't come out till 2012? What the F&^K has Square been doing?! How many Blu-Ray discs will this game be on! MGS4 is jam packed with movie and game and it didn't take as long as FFXIII's taking.

Will Square Enix's bombshell further delay the games release as the game will be release simultaneously?

Nintendo releasing another peripheral. I wonder how much it would cost to buy four complete sets:

and

@Woodwater: I want more than LBP (should be out already), Home (should be out already), Resistance 2, and Killzone 2. Hopefully Sony comes up with some nice surprises just as MS did.

@fadecy: Sony DOES pay for exclusives. Do you really think Naughty Dog, Insomniac, etc. really blow off the Wii/360 because of some loyalty to Sony? Do you think Sony didn't pony up big bags of cash for R* last gen for GTA exclusivity. Don't be delusional. They may not be paying for exclusivity now since they are working on becoming profitable again, but they have in the past, just as much as MS if not more.

It's Squeenix that decided to go after the Xbox instal base, and really, who can blame them. Those feeling betrayed in some weird corporate loyalty emotions really need to get checked.

I might be wrong though, I have been in the past.

nintendo is quite cheeky! the 1:1 motion announcement has every forum screaming lightsabre! not that ff13 on 360 isnt a big deal or anything.. but you know what who cares? the more people that get access to a game the better.

and seeing how square-enix have been talking about expanding their overseas revenues, it was kinda expected anyways. good news for gamers, slight damper for microsoft (u cheeky monkey iwata heihei~~)

but yea the avatar thing although completely ripped off looks pretty cool in my opinion, i wonder how sony will downplay it! remember how last year they dissed nintendo's mii's? and up talked 'realistic hd avatars' in home!

you know i don't think they will i think they'll down play the hardware sales a bit but other than that i don't see them down playing FFXIII I thnk they will tout it haveing better graphics. But what they need is a bombshell title that will blow everyone away and maybe a price drop... maybe.

Hey didja hear, Final Fantasy XIII is going to be on Xbox 360 same day as the PS3... LOL, no really im not a fanboy, and its not the fact that its coming to xbox360 thats so shocking to me. I just cant believe its on the same day, how can they do it on the same day? Wow.

@Woodwater: I've been lucky. Got the RROD on my launch unit about six months in. Free replacement and no trouble since. I definitely understand the frustration with the people who are on # 3, 4, 5, etc., but they seem to be the exception, not the rule.

I'm tired of hearing about Alan Wake. We know next to nothing about it and everyone is crapping themselves over it. Why? What have you seen that shows it is going to be a triple-A, must have game? I hope it's great just like everyone but all the excitement over it is a little premature.

MS did plenty this year. They've gotta save some stuff for '09, it's probably the last strong year the console will have as I'd expect the XBox 3 to be out for holiday 2010.

If you're still not satisfied...well, there is still a Bungie announcement to come. I hear they do good work...

Today is the really exciting day. I'm really hoping Nintendo pulls some new IP out of the bag for this one. And Sony ... well, they're going to have to do something spectacular after losing FF 13, but what other exclusive franchises can they really pitch anymore? MGS4?

Or are we going to be treated with yet *another* Syphon Filter, Ratchet and Clank, and Grand Turismo? That'll sell a five-benjamin console!
