Fable II Coming In October

Looks like those obsessive folks who paused Lionhead's latest Fable II developer diary to see what Peter Molyneux was writing on his notepad were on to something, as Peter Molyneux announces the release month for the game at Microsoft's E3 2008 press conference, and surprise - it's October! Ah, the lovely fall season, when a boy's thoughts go to spending time with his dog and choosing between good and evil paths.

This is the news I have been waiting to hear. I am extremely excited to finally get a release date.

I just bought the first Fable a couple of days ago. I'd love to see what's got everyone so excited. If only Ninja Gaiden II and MGS4 would leave me alone long enough to play the thing!

We'll see. Several games have been "officially" announced at E3 several different times, so....I'll believe it when I see it on shelves but hopefully we will get it in October.

The play through at the MS E3 conference was sick. The visuals looked very nice. I also liked how co-op is instant; no menus or game lobby. Kind of like need for speed carbon, only better. Now for my first fanboy phrase ever (courtesy of all the 360 goodness that came from todays conference): 360, FTW.

Cannot wait. Fable was a great game if you took your time. Fable 2 looks like the best thing period on any console this year.

From the presser, Peter Molynieux said "Fable II is finished, its done", to lackluster applause. :)

Since FFXIII is coming out on the 360, why can't Fable II come out on the PS3?!

@kirstpo: This could only be a fair trade sadly, Sony isn't producing ffxiii and microsoft is producing fable 2. I think I'm going to have to buy a 360. Sorry ps3 you just lost alot of points.
