@quen: I'm still learning Japanese, so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is 孕む as in 「帆が風を孕む」 not 「子を孕む」 (examples from Yahoo辞書). So it'd be more along the lines of "Don't fill me [with tentacles]!"

As for half-elves, I was always under the impression that they were a mix of the best of both humans and elves, which would mean of course that they would look mostly like elves, elves being naturally better-looking than humans and all.
