Kick-Arse 1942 Shirt Sneaks in Cammy Appearance
Posted by Brian Crecente at 8:00 AM on July 24, 2008
If you're into all things Mike McWhertor, and who isn't, than you probably already know all about his video-game themed T-shirt venture: Meat Bun.
Today the shirtmaker dropped a sexy, new 1942-themed shirt on their site featuring Cammy from Street Fighter dressed up like a 1940's pin-up girl. The shirt comes in olive, gold and light blue and is currently tied for my personal favourite with Meat Bun's Street Fighter shirt.
If you're at Comic Con you should try to pick one up and then chase Mike down and force him to sign it or a body part in Sharpie blue.

@OniBeowulf: I agrees, shirts nowdays are expensive, even for the one that look awesome and later on it will show holes through the fabric.
My most expensive shirt I ever have was $75 and I only wore it about 4 days (not in the row) since I bought it. I am pissed to see a tiny hole right on the front from washing and drying.

Question
Doe they need to get a license first for this? I also saw the street fighter one which is also awesome. Do they even need a license or anyone can build tshirt and sell it for fortune?

Yeah awesome shirt but 26 bucks is over my limit. Hell even 18 bucks is pushing it most of the time.

I'm happy to see the prices dropped from $30 to $26. If they hit $20, I'll be in for the fight night shirt.

That Meat Bun link only has me thinking about having a big, well, meat bun. I suppose I can include a 1942 t-shirt into that little dream. I can wear it while eating the meat bun.

The olive one looks amazing. If I wore t-shirts I'd definitely pick one of these up. Okay, maybe I will anyway for a night shirt.

Sorry, Mike. Your shirts are a bit too expensive for us home-working, crappy-local-magazine-game-reviewing, minimum-waged crowd.
Cool design, though.

Okay, I ordered mine; hope a medium isn't too big. I'm assuming these aren't pre-shrunk, but if I'm wrong I guess I'll just have to order another in a different color. :D

It's not the only Capcom cameo on that shirt. If I'm not mistaken, the logo in the background is the classic 'Yasichi' symbol that they used to stick in all their NES games, usually as a pickup that gave you zillions of points, and it still shows up sometimes today.
