Kotaku's E3 Party: Great Success

Last night, hundreds of Kotaku readers were joined by fellow colleagues and game developers as we rang in E3 by swilling gallons of alcohol at LA's lovely Golden Gopher. Sure, there was only one bartender on hand to meet the needs of dozens of thirsty commenters and lurkers, but that didn't stop us from ordering drinks seven-at-a-time and partying hard.
It was a fantastic crowd, probably twice that of the E3 2006 party at the same location, full of friendly (and bashful) Kotaku regulars alongside compatriots at MTV, G4, Giant Bomb and elsewhere. Sure it got a little ugly at times — and we don't mean photogenic commenter Shindokie! — and Crecente committed a party foul by playing video games, but these photos, courtesy of Vlad and Jon from Videogame Visionary, show that folks aren't afraid of a good time.
Thanks a million to everyone who came out to rub elbows, snap shots and drink on our dime.

Heh, looks like you guys had a blast. I'd probably be a downer though since I don't drink and I'm pretty shy.
Maybe if there will be a New York event I'll show up. Though I'd love to go to L.A. one day.

I Can honestly say that I had a fantastic time at this event. Free drinks + talking to one of my heroes (Corey Barlog) for about a half hour= Probably the best night I've had in Los Angeles since I moved here in January. Guys from Meat Bun Tees were awesome too! Thanks again for the amazing Agro shirt! Thanks so much Brian, and everyone else in the Kotaku family! Come back to LA more often!!!

Judging by the type of comments regarding the lack of females, is probably exactly the reason why there weren't many. (Sorry about the grammar, I don't know what went wrong in that sentence). Most female gamers hate it when you guys think just because you play games that means you have something in common and therefore should make a move or whatever. If they didn't play games some of you wouldn't even try. This doesn't just apply to games however, it can be a multitude of things. But I do know a few girls who "hate" this type of behavior and therefore avoid such sausage fests.
However, if anyone here hits on a fellow Pokemon collector, that would be hilarious.
