I am kind of tired of games coming on 800 platforms, I was kind of surprised he didn't also include PSP, PS2, Intellivision, and Gamecube. It just seems that when 4 or 5 versions of the game are being made, they tend to be pedestrian affairs.

@bobeotm: Most games need to relase on more than one platform or they don't make any money. Take a look at most of the big third party games that were console exclusives and you will see backing from the console manufacturer.

@bobeotm: Technically, there are two versions of this game. The PC/360/PS3 release is essentially the same game, and the DS version is a separate thing all together. That hardly constitutes 800 platforms.

In regards to the vid, I'm impressed that the guy made sure to stipulate that the majority of the game was key framed rather than motion capped. This means that the game will (hopefully) have some really fantastic character animation. The illustration of the Hunter was also very well done.

One immediate warning flag is when a 'next-gen' game is also being developed for the PS2. That means the PS2's hardware is the bottleneck when it comes to everything but visuals.
I'd like to see more games that are specially designed for each platform on which they appear (and I don't just mean a secret character).

I'm still waiting to see footage of the jumping, climbing, wall-running prince we all know and love. Of course, I haven't been keeping up, but all I've seen is this and the trailer on XBL that's just a cutscene of prince and princess fighting the Hunter, which had a bit of a SquareEnixy feel to it. Any word if the prince is an orphan with amnesia?

Why on earth would they go through the trouble of using some sort of program that only records video and run a counter when someone touches a tablet. Have you ever seen a sped up speed painting before? You can even see the cursor in-between strokes at some frames.

@akif24: Funny that you say that, because the sections where he was chasing you were closer to Sands of Time than all the fights. But I'll agree, I got a bit of a start whenever everything went black and white. It was like hearing the revving of a chainsaw in RE4.

As somebody who's really interested in concept art, and I might even go into that as a career, I actually enjoyed that "trailer". Pretty cool stuff.

But seriously, the Hunter? How many games must have a character nicknamed the Hunter? Hundreds! Maybe even thousands. They could have given it a more original name. At least in Halo they translated the names into covenant language.
