Anyway, I think the color is spot-on, and the quote on the back is an interesting touch, but it all seems a little busy. The stencil of The Bride is certainly not perfect, but it's not a bad attempt. Personally, I think a case mod like the Guitar Hero Kill Bill guitar would have been awesome for this. 'A' for effort, anyway.

Other than the stencil being a little blurred, I think his thing would look great with a different shade of yellow. It just looks kind of sickly.

well its a nice yellow, but the stencils kinda bad, i dont if its on purpose or not, but its blurred like crazy due to overspray, need to make sure you stencil is flat and really super duper up close against your surface!

but its not awful! good job anyhow, better to stand out than fit in.

Hey maybe I should do a pointless mod to my old 360. I tried fixing it but ended up just opening it up for no reason. I realized I didn't have the correct screwdriver to open up the guts. So I have the snapped parts open but I can't get to the mobo. Maybe one day when I'm really bored I'll see if I change the clamps and add a heat sink to it.

Maybe I'll mod it to have a giant fan on the case or just glue heatsinks all around the case. It'll look like the borg cube if I did that. I wonder if that would work to actually cool the system down?

It's good considering what his muse was, people. It's supposed to be a Kill Bill-themed case mod, hence the god-awful yellow coloring and blood spatter. It suits what he was looking to do and, for a Kill Bill fan, I'm sure it's great (though, really, cleaner stencils. The messy spray work isn't anything to do with the series, lets fix that, eh?) even though it's not my flavor, since the only part of the Kill Bill series I liked was the 10-minute intro of the first one.

I think it's awesome. The shoddy spraypaint job and the colors are a bit hard on the eyes, in that lovely Tarantino-ish way. In other words, it's a good thing. As far as capturing the Kill Bill esthetique, I think this casemod is absolutely spot on.

That said, I agree that the overspray is unappealing, but the overall effect of the mod is nice. Reminds me of the No More Heroes Wii posted here a while back:

Coincidentally they were just playing this on Spike TV just a few minutes ago. I like the yellow and the blood spatter (both well done), but I'm not sure I feel about the stencil. As I can see from the previous postings it's hit or miss.

I think it's pretty cool, but i don't like the quotes on the back, I would just stick to that symbol, and the blood spatter on the front. and the back just have that plain yellow. or maybe a stripe like someone else mentioned on here.

Sorry but I don't like it. I'd prefer no quotes, just yellow with two black stripes running down one side and a bit more blood splashes. Kinda making it a 'skin' instead of a 'canvas' if you know what I mean!

@Troubadour: This is true, but there are two types of criticism: Good and bad. Bad is 'that sucks and your stencils are made of fail and aids'. Good is 'you did a good job, but you could improve it by making sure your stencils are flatter to the surface'. See the difference?

I think it looks really good, actually. I would've gone with the Death List 5 on the underside, rather than the quote, but that's just a personal preference thing.

I like the stenciling. I think it looks better being a little hazy and fuzzy than dead on lettering. It fits with the theme of the rest of the kit. Kinda quick and brutal!

I really like the design but I think the stencils are fucked up. If that was the creators intent then I'll say I'm not completely happy with the design, heh. The stenciled stuff just looks too burry and smudged. Reminds me of GTA4!

A fine mist of spray fix on the back of the stencil will hold it down to the surface... no shifting or underspray, it'll come out a lot cleaner.

Maybe the faceplate looked good up close, but in the pics, the stains looked too small. Other than that, good effort.

Shoulda used spray adhesive so that the overspray wouldn't make the 'Box look shittier.

With the text, how that I think of it, I'd maybe go back in and see if you could put a white outline just to define the letters a bit, but it'd have to be really clean though to work.

Put rubber cement on the underside of the stencil after the paint has had 24 hours to dry and harden. Then spray it but leave the stencil on for 24 hours so the paint dries instead of coming up with the stencil or worse dripping.
