Wanna see this here movie. I enjoyed the 10th as Darkrai was awesome in it and I didn't mind the new dub voices, maybe Ash's turned out to be the only one that actually bothered me in the Master Mind of the Mirage Pokemon, or with the fact that Brock and Ash are the only returning characters, and that Team Rocket sounds exactly the same to me because I was fine with the voices in the 10th, and I've never watched the D/P episodes or much of Hoeen or the Battle Frontier. But I found the voices horrendous in the 8th movie, I guess I just don't mind the new Ash and Brock voices.

And yes, I own every Pokemon movie because I'm awesome/crazy. I'm also rewatching Pokemon and I'm on episode 205 now. Almost to the beginning of Master Quest.

I think I saw all of the pokemon movies they released in the theaters just to get the cards, all the way up to the Entei promo for Movie 3.

Which is sad considering how old I was at the time.

HEY! the only reason I am taking my daughter with me to the pokemon event in Norwich,(a 6 HOUR ROUND TRIP thank you very much bloody much Nintendo UK!) is because she is coming to stay with me on Friday.
I'm much much older than 24 and with long hair and a large beard I'm surprised that I didn't get lynched at the last event I went to.
OH and mini Bash is so lucky, I know a little girl who would kill to see the movies in a theatre, it's straight to DVD over here if at all. Actually come to think of it I know a not so little girl that would like to see them at the cinema, but I doubt my girlfriend would admit to that in public.

You took the piss because some people like to play a game that while the marketing is towards kids actually has some pretty good deep mechanics going on in the background that appeals to adults, how is that different to how the general public views gamers as a whole?

Scooby doo should be Scooby dead and as a biochemist I would love to have a look at Mickey Mouses genes. It's a common thing that cartoons don't progress and when you look at the amount of kids shows that did alter as the actors get older you can see why the studio exec.'s love cartoons.
Seriously how often does it happen that people just happen to have a university no one has ever mentioned before just outside the town, or end up going to the same college together.
You just have wonder what sort of standard of edumacation they are getting?

S.T.A.L.K.E.R, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls and other games targeted more towards the adult demographic have lessened it slightly. But it hasn't changed drasticly.

You know, the reason why I stopped messing with pokemon shows and games wasn't because I got older, it was the fact that the stuff became pointless.

Ash in the show never got older and never became a pokemon master. It would've been nice to see him get older in his adventures then start-up with a new person.

I had pokemon gold and silver, it was fun catching all the pokemon, but after that I gave up catching more. I drew the line when they got up to 350 or 450.

I get pokemon is for kids, but for a series that has been around since I was a young one it would've been to see some progression on the show.

I'm older now and I don't care, but reason why stopped messing stuff popped in my head.

I wish movies gave out freebies like this. I haven't gone into a theater since Spider-Man, and I only paid half price to get in.

Ok,you didn't say gears of war you said mass effect, but hey gears fits the template just as well.

I didn't focus on the violent aspects of the game, I focused on the character design and how it confirms to a generic stereotype that non-gamers seem to think all games have and that the designs are to a certain extent just as childish and unrealistic they are compared to so called "childish" games, I mean what child doesn't want to be the hero who saves the guy/girl?

Nice assumption about me and yet again, totally and utterly wrong, I'm not offended by this characters and I'm not insecure about myself. I may want to have a wider range of choices of body types but I recognise them for what they are, characters in a game, some enjoyable some not and I wouldn't denigrate anybody for wanting to play them.
Childish doesn't mean that it isn't enjoyable or beautiful, I've seen some wonderful works of art in which the artist has purposely tried to emulate the mind-set and style of a child.
Perhaps rather than insult the people who play these games you may want to try them, relax and, dare I say it, grow up!

Ha reminds me of when I an 18yr old boy, sorry man, went to watch the Disney Tarzan movie. During the sad scene with him in the old hut where his parents used to live my eyes got watery, and I had to struggle to keep myself from blubbing in a packed cinema. Later on in a restaurant a girl said she cried, and when I admitted that I felt like crying too but wasn't going to blub in the cinema, she thought it was quite cool for a guy to admit that.

Not as shocking as when I dragged my mum with me to watch Pokemon the movie a year later. lmao. Good thing none of my friends knows that! Ah the things one can confess to on the internet...

(By the way, if you've not watched Pokemon movies/anime in general for a while, Darkrai is pretty much made of awesome. The storyline's not as childish as you'd expect.)

I have never denigrated the games you play or you yourself, I love a bit of sniper rifle action as much as the next psychotic sneaky bastard. I may point out that they have childish elements in them, as do all games but I have also said that I don't always find that to be a negative point.

What I have never understood about Nintendo is why they don't make a damn new Pokemon with some innovation. Hell I am old now and I still have fond Pokemon memories. I really don't get why they just keep shoveling out the same game every year. I guess if people keep buying it, they will keep releasing. I would just like to see a nice 3d engine change and possibly a Wii version with Pokeball throwing action. But knowing Nintendo they will keep banking on the safe bet.

Went to the movie and got all the stuff in the photo above, plus the Lvl 100 Regigas is pretty cool too.

I found the movie quite enjoyable, the art was pretty and the music was actually rather sublime.
