Have done quite well at clearing most of my games backlog over the past few weeks (being unemployed...woo....), even managed to do a couple new levels of Zack and Wiki - a game I don't think I've played since April.

So with that in mind, I'm heading to a mate's for the day tomorrow to play through some R6 Vegas 2 in co-op! Maybe squeeze in a level of Z&W and possibly some Prey/Quake 4. Got lots to do job-hunting-wise though so don't expect to do much gaming on Sunday.

Sould Calibur 4, definitely. Weirdly enough, I had an urge to buy The Mark of Kri, Phantasy Star Universe, and Way of the Samurai yesterday... don't know why. I just wanted to.

The disc for Way of the Samurai, was used, but was in pristine condition, and the manual didn't have a finger print on it. I was very impressed. Played the Mark of Kri for almost 2 hours last night, and remembered everything I loved about it immediately... it has a polish that Rise of the Kasai doesn't have. Anyway... that's my list.

@XanderSan: Oh man I remember a long time ago I got a demo disc that had Robt Alchemic Drive on it. I played that demo over and over and over but never found the full game. I would love to see a "next gen" version with all the bells and whistles.

On the bigger games front, I've been getting into Lost Odyssey on my 360 and I'm finally getting the hang of Crisis Core on PSP. I'm working on a trophy run of Uncharted but mostly playing Ratchet and Clank, with some Burnout and MGS4 sidetracks on the PS3 front. God of War 2 on PS2 (with a little Deus Ex Conspiracy which I recently picked up used since my gpu ate the shitter and I can't play ANY PC games no matter how old they are and I've been having hardcore cravings for that game).

I bought Braid (I don't know if it's a glitch or something, but I bought the game for 1200 points. I keep hearing it's 1600 points?), and I was quite disappointed by it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game, but it took me an hour to beat the damn game. I haven't tried the speed run yet.

Also, I bought Burnout Paradise for $25 new at Best Buy, so I've been playing that, as well at trying out the new Cagney update.

I'm playing this awesome old school game called "Honey-Do". It's where my wife gives me a list of achievements for the weekend to accomplish. Re-stain some baseboard, seal our kitchen's tile grout and clean out the garage, stuff like that. Awesome graphics and sound. Problem is if I don't get all the achievement my wife transforms into an epic Chomping Mouther and SPAMS voice chat for the next couple days. The reward is I get to hide in my basement and play the 360.

@WallaJoy- Snorlax?: Don't listen to the trolls. Braid is a puzzle game, so it depends on how good you are at those. I keep hearing that it's around 6 hours for most people their first time (I can't remember how long it took me my first time because that was months ago). There's also some extra content that will probably take you awhile to get, if you're into that sort of thing.

Then I rented SCIV (lots of 4's huh?) and I've been playing that all week. Gotta take that back though so I'll spend more time with Snake. I've barely scratched the surface of the game so I'm looking forward to digging into more of the complex storyline.

I've started up Okami again in hopes of beating it this time. The PS2 version of Okami that is. However this weekend I would like to play "Get to Best Buy" so I can finally pick up a router, and ethernet cable in hopes of finally hardlining my consoles, and finally, FINALLY having both my consoles and my pc hooked up to net. YAY no more wireless connectors. I also want to continue my No More Heroes save.

I recently picked up Lost Odyssey, so I'll be playing that (disc 3).

To anyone who likes traditional RPGs on the 360, you may have missed this diamond in the rough. Check it out if it sounds like something you may be even remotely interested in. It got somewhat lackluster reviews, but I think it deserves much greater praise. I'm enjoying it as much as I enjoy the Final Fantasy series, maybe even more. Definitely an under appreciated game.

@bakagaijin: Haha, just read your comment above mine and yeah, FFIV is ridiculously hard. I've heard some people say this one takes almost twice as long to thoroughly play through compared to the original (Japan) but I'm hoping that's an exaggeration. I'm a power-leveler (and I generally don't mind grinding) but I'm having a hard time getting through some of it.

I just finished braid so not sure if ill play it again this weekend...may try the speed run i guess. Im still kinda shocked at the second part of world 1; i wont discuss it fully incase it spoils the game for someone but it seems the second part is how the scene really plays out and it suggests the complete opposite interaction between the characters to the first half of the level. Besides that prob more geometry wars 2 and hot shots.

Played a little bit of Metroid Prime Wii today and maybe its just me, but the key fetching and passcode finding gameplay felt outdated to me...this is the first time I've felt that, maybe its because the hype is long gone and I haven't played it since september of last year, but nonetheless that feeling wasn't good!

@Mr.Monkey: I enjoyed it in some chapters, hated it in others. I kinda felt that it was far too easy to brute force your way through most encounters unless you were forced to use stealth ( more reason why MGS4 is better on harder modes people). And then, when you were forced to use stealth, yeah the tension went up, but I felt kinda resentful as if this wasn't the game I thought I was playing. Kind of like a teenage date where you think it's going somewhere but the outcome is "just friends".

Just finished Condemned 2 (pretty damn decent game), so I decided to download Siren: Bloodcurse. Nice to know that you can download each episode by itself (it seems) so you really only need like 1.5 gigs at a time free. I will be continuing my slow conquest of Eden and then top it all off with some 360 action, like the Braid Demo (I'll see how I like it from there) and some random co-op stuff on XBL.

Thought it was a little bit short, heard there was a school in the original, kind of wish they kept it... Hunting down the last few archives tomorrow... I just beat GTA IV a few nights ago, and while I'll probably go back at some point and try to pick up some of the Achievements I missed, I'm looking forward to putting it down for awhile and playing other stuff. This weekend, I'm going back into the vault and playing CoD2, since I never did get around to beating the campaign. I'll probably throw in some Golf: Tee it Up and Guitar Hero intermittently, too.

I was hoping to get a japanese copy of Uncharted Drake's Fortune since it's one of the few Japanese PS3 games with full english support but I think I'll wait until they release the trophy patch for that region. Meanwhile I'll just keep making my way through the submerged city of Rapture(Bioshock), I'm currently on Hephaestus. I'll probably be also grinding on FF XII for a while before heading to hunt a mark.

Well since it's my first full weekend back home with my games I think a nice hearty dosage of the PS3 is well at hand. I'll be playing a combination of Uncharted, Resistance, and Metal Gear Solid 4. @pisseddog: PixelJunk Monsters is AWESOME!! You should have bought it last week during the Playstation Network's summer sale. I couldn't beat $4.99 for the game & $5.99 for the expansion (PJM Encore)! I'm not sure how much the game is now, but the expansion should be the same. BUT...the game is deceptively easy. The tutorial level & the first easy level are simple, but the difficulty ramps up so much after that. Also, to get to the next area on Tiki Island, you have to get 7 rainbows, which means you can't let a SINGLE villager die! Yeah, it's insane!

So, I'll play some of that, Super Stardust HD, perhaps Pain, and demos of Nucleus & Blast Factor. As for MGS4, I beat the game last night, after a seemingly ENDLESS amount of cutscenes & credits. I ended up beating the game in just under 30 hours. I was surprised that it was only 30 hours; it felt like a lot longer than 30 hours with all of the cutscenes & install screens. And I didn't use ANY continues (Granted, it was on Liquid Easy, & I started over a few times.)! I also got 3 emblems: Inchworm, and 2 others I can't remember. Is there some kind of screen you can get to in the main menu that shows the emblems you have? I probably shouldn't play it again for a while since school for me is starting in 2 weeks & 3 days, plus I'm going to keep working at Kroger to make some money. I don't know how many hours a week I'll be working.

For the Wii, I rented Boom Blox from Blockbuster, and it's pretty fun, but it gets a little boring playing by yourself. This game is made for multiplayer. So, I'll play that this week, and some Wii Fit to achieve the perfect body!
