Crysis Warhead is coming with a little bundled extra: Crysis Wars, a new take on Crysis' multiplayer aspects. This trailer, made from in-game footage, shows that it's looking both nice and fast, but if they don't fix it so the Koreans don't take 1,736 bullets to kill, it'll all be for naught.
1.I thought that the Crysis online was actually really fun except there was too much hackers spamming nukes. Being a Guass rifle sniper and hunting other snipers and killing ppl from across the map made me feel big haha.
2.You can leap over railings? thats innovation for yah.
3.Hopefully the online scene for crysis will pickup with more developer support.

Yea this game should be good fun.
Also, what the hell was wrong with the previous layout that warranted change?

@: They're joining in a grand history of epic site redesign failures like Fark, Something Awful, and Digg. I wonder if the sites get together and compete to see who can make a bigger mess?

I know this is off-topic, and I apologize, but the new page layout is crap. The top stories are WAY too big.
Btw, the username no longer is automatically filled by commenting, and it's missing in the header of the page, too. Did EA do your site redesign testing? :)

@: yeah, they shrank the kotaku sign. it should be MASSIVE and fill up half the screen. and chest hair. yeah

@DragonNinja: So we've seen no info at all on what exactly the new multiplayer will entail (other than a movie which just shows explosions and standoffs which any multiplayer will show) and you're already making your assumptions? Nice.

try removing the silencer. Or aim for the head. Either method will drop the NK soldiers very rapidly, even on delta mode.

So... When do we get the second half of the first Crysis?
1: I don't believe it is in-game footage. There is no rail-jumping like shown and the explosion at the end is too dynamic. Some of it was in-game, but definitely not all of it.
2: The online community will not pick up until Crytek gets it through their heads that custom maps need to be downloadable in-game on-the-fly and if you don't do the work to support this the online community will never be any good.

@Arlips: Considering Crysis was a huge let down, do you blame me?
"Hey guyses, we has awesomest grafix evar!!!111!"
Yet the actually gameplay was just FarCry (except with Aliens instead of mutants) with the powers out of the Console version of Farcry thrown in and slightly expanded upon, they suffered from the same fate, the first half of FarCry was fun but once the mutants turned up it just turned into a shitfest, Crysis fell the same way.
Multiplayer was fun for a while though.

Anyone else seeing the video as rather choppy? Even when buffered fully (so it's not a connection issue), there's definitely some frame rate issues. I first noticed it on the tanks coming out of the gate.
To make up for that, it seems they blurred the frames of the video to seem like it was speedier than it was - there's more than just motion blur on the shots with the tank coming over the hill as well as the men jumping over the railing and getting hit by the rocket.
This might be post-processing, but I'm not expecting much as far as properly utilized DX10 or some other tweaks to make it run faster than the original, so I'm suspicious.

Look no different to regular MP in Crysis. Trust Crytek to make the same thing twice and dress up to look nice.

And then the obvious 2nd question... what prompted EA to redo the header so I have to scroll half a page just to start reading content?

So how long until everyone has freeze pistols, starts shooting through walls, and gets in invincible vehicles?
This looks just like the multiplayer in Crysis. Did you see in the beginning with the tanks that the frame rate was really laggy? Not good.

I am praying they remove that Korean commanders voice-over in the MP game. I've actually bailed a few times because its so grating.

@: Don't forget last.fm. It's like they ruined it on purpose so that nobody would want to go to that site anymore.
This isn't that bad. Deadspin was like this for a few days now, I figured that change would be for all Gawker sites.
