Was wondering when the codes would start popping up, but I plan on getting it legit....once they add trophy support, that is. Got done getting the Fox emblem a while back and decide I simply won't strive for anything else if trophies are not retroactive.

I'm going to have to add those in. I read in the official strategy guide that we'll also be able to get a number of different items through passwords (these items were also listed)

Items such as.. the Patriot (want want want), and the Thor gun (some kind of special gun)

But I like the sun gun. hehe. though it is slow, its kinda cool how it knocks them out in one hit. Makes bosses a cinch too.

Oh and small detail. Snake folds his left ring finger kind of simulating Altair's missing ring finger where the assassin's blade comes out. Just a funny detail when you where the costume.

I got all of the items, costumes, and masks. So none of these passwords are coming in to make me want to play the game through the 9th time. I want them to come up with more podcasts, music, and camos. I would rather the passwords give something different from weapons and items that can be all obtained from aquiring emblems and such. Kind of makes the emblems pointless. Sad, but still love the game.

If they come out with trophies I would totally beat the game again on Boss Extreme to obtain the Big Boss Emblem again.

only a noob would use cheat codes on MGS. cqc then knife is quite easy anyway and gets easier if you obtained stealth camo.

Getting the Altair Costume the best way is still much fulfilling.

You should have unlocked the Stealth Camo first though.

@Lord Thayer: Is there really any guarantee that trophies will come out for MGS4? You could end up waiting a long time! Trophies are part of the reason I abandoned my no kills playthrough. Well, trophies and Smash Bros...

@Paradyme: Well, less than 25 alerts along with 50 CQC grabs and 50 knife kills/attacks, IIRC. But yes, it's possible to get without the code.

Funny, I was reading about this on Famitsu last night, but didn't think to send it in as a tip or anything. I'll probably try these codes sometime, but I think the next time I play MGS4 will be when they update trophies.
