I'm with you. I still love "real" cinematics in-game. Than say pre-rendered stuff. It has a certain charm. I'm pretty sure it's more expensive to do it than CGI stuff.

Are they planning to spend any of the budget on the actual game? 'cos you know, the cast for C&C3 was pretty stellar and I actually liked the cinematics... but the game was shockingly mediocre, so the point of being boring. Can't say i'm feeling enticed to buy into RA3 based on the cast of the FMVs.

wing commander hired mark hammill, so hiring a few stars isnt neccessariy a bad thing.
however, i am getting dispirited by EA's handing of some of their games. hellsgate london was released too early, C&C3:KW didnt receive a patch for nearly 3 months for several of its game breaking issues, and RA3beta seems to be following the same course.

On a more optimistic note, that's a pretty solid cast they've got for Red Alert 3. Though, I'm always going to see the three faction leaders as Jonah Jameson, Sulu, and Pennywise, respectively.
