New NHL 2K9 Wii Trailer

A while back I was talking about how we don't have too many choices when it comes to hockey games. However, it is nice to see there's some variety in the controls when NHL 2K9 comes out for Wii in September.

@phinehas: No. But the 5-Hole is a bitch to hit in real life too. It happens, just not easily.

Yeesh, they couldn't pick two teams that are rivals? San Jose .vs. New Jersey? No. Vancouver .vs. Nashville? No. Tampa Bay was in there too... And San Jose .vs. The Western Conference? WTF? Are they saying she sucks so bad she needs to play with an overpowered All Star team? Most of those jerseys were out of date even! Boourns. I wouldn't want hockey on the Wii. Or a Wii in general. NHL 09 on 360 is my poison.

well its SEEMS cool, but im sure it doesnt play out well. honestly, how accurate could you be picking a spot in the 5-hole with the wiimote?
and zamboni minigames? really?
ya know 2K was the far superior hockey franchise for many years, but EA stepped it up and, just like 08, they have my money for 09.

@phinehas: tis alot easier with an analog stick, rather than with an irresponsive wiimote i would imagine.

I'm giving it a try, never really got into NHL 08 Xbox 360 controls, although they seemed fine but still those were bit too complicated for my liking.

Ok, i'm not pretty much into sports, besides beach volleyball (DOA Extreme Edition my fav BTW), but this game seems like fun!!!!
Fighting a la Wiiboxing will be fun, and that Zamboni minigame..... ok, gotta be truthfull here, i didn't like it, like if there weren't neough minigames on the Wii already

Anytime I watch the video, it stops after the San Jose Sharks guy pumps his fists right in front of his girlfriend... and while I find that hilarious, I'd like this damn Kotaku Media player to stop being so wonky for me. It either freezes my browser or cuts off in random places.
I wanna watch the whole video :(
