I don't mind her as a person to look at if I'm honest, but this is not the context for her to appear in. As I said before, this is the C&C game the Wayan Bros. would have made.

I don't want camp from my RTS games! I want it like Red Alert 1 again! Where I truly feared the soviets were coming to take Britain, and the unit were believable! (Well, apart from the tesla coil... but just that! Not an effing Eiffel Tesla Tower!)

Yah I am in the beta and I can tell you if you didn't like C&C 3 you won't like RA3. I was disappointed as a die-hard pre-Generals C&C.

I think it's a bit better than C&C 3, being more Red Alerty than C&C 3 was Tiberiany. SP might prove to be a decent game but I won't touch multiplayer.

Still, it ain't no Red Alert 2.

I don't know if the casting and portrayal of Tanya is the right place to ask for this, but I wish developers would stop using the words "cool" and "badass" as a selling point and justification of their decisions.

And on a positive note she seems to actually be a good person as well. There are a lot of positive stories regarding her and her child, as well as the influence Jim Carey has been on the kids life.

Jenny McCarthy is a fine actor in her own right. She had a show called "The Jenny McCarthy Show" which was pretty damn funny. Then she left that and went to NBC to do the show "Jenny" which I recalled sucked.

If you can find some sketches on you tube check em out. Don't discount her because she has large boobs.

Were people upset that she was replaced? No. I don't ask a lot from my C&C games.

Though, to be fair, I would have liked to have seen her as a brunette...for consistencies sake. But it's an alternate time line, so it all works out. Maybe she went blond on a coin flip?

People getting upset about Jenny's role in RA3 need to relax and stop taking it so seriously. The most recent thing I saw her in was a cameo on Two and a Half Men where she seemed alright to me. She'll have fun with the role. It'll be enjoyable.

I'm not overly concerned at who plays Tanya. I'm sure Jenny McCarthy can bring the camp and a lot of scenery chewing to the role. As for continuity, I figured Tanya is just a codename for a super elite female commando, much like how the James Bond moniker works for British super spies.

I'm more interested in the gameplay mechanics of the character. I understand this version of Tanya will be decked out with a "time belt." It sounds like they are doing away with the chrono legionnaire/chrono commando and only having the Tanya unit be able to time shift. This makes me a little sad because I loved those chrono units.

I remember turning around the course of a battle in multiplayer by sending in a single chrono commando to decimate my opponent's base when he marched all his forces in a final blitz on my base. (I was really hurting at that point.) He couldn't understand why he suddenly lost satellite view, all his aircraft were crashing and his build queue options were dropping like flies. Unfortunately he had just enough units left over to overtake my base and one MCV that he moved out the second he realized what was going on. Still, I have fond memories of almost winning against a vastly superior RTS player with a single unit.

I wonder why people are complaining that RA3 is going to be camp. If you think about it, Westwood designed RA2 and it was camp. Eiffel Tower Tesla Coil? Sonic Dolphins? Bomb Dropping Blimps?

And besides, Jenny McCarthy is only going to appear in cutscenes and what I'm more interested in is how EA implements her as a unit. C4 Tanks anyone?

Her son is not Autistic, I have done enough research and enough looking into her story to know this (I also come from a family in the medical field) and she has just been using her son's story to garner press for herself because she has a fading career as a Playboy bunny and no one cares about her anymore. She turned the whole story into "Well I only posed for the Playboy pictures to support my son..." Which in addition to being complete BS, is just sad on a moral level. She goes around saying that vaccinations can cause Autism when (If I remember correctly) three of the original five Doctors who purported that theory have since removed their names from it and disowned it. It has been proven false as it is a genetic disorder, and yet it pisses me off (and you have no idea what real Autistics think of her. If you think I'm bad, you should see what they think).

What does this have to do with the game? Not much, although I dislike her enough to not even play the game because she's in it.

I too, will go against the grain with a number of posters on here, since I also think that Kari's done a PHENOMENAL job on the C&C series.

I will also tell you that it's THE ONLY EA Series game that I play! While I don't buy them, I'm often gifted RTSs for my birthday; which I admit also accounts for alot of my time passed when I have nothing to do. (I've been gifted RTSs since '95)

While some people state Kari Wührer's campy in her role, I'd argue that THAT IS PART OF HER APPEAL. She doesn't seem to take herself seriously, is still hot AT ANY AGE that she portrayed the role, and seems to get the C&C series. For that matter, I also miss Christopher Walken in the C&C series.

Kari, at this point, is like a mainstaple of the Red Alert series, and I think that in some ways, some of the Red Alert fans will be disappointed to see her NOT there.

My suggestion? At least promote her to some sort of sexy "CG -Commanding General", and place her in cutscenes on the battlefield for Co-Op missions. For that matter, make Jenny Kari's lackey to be pawned off to the player. That would make more sense to me, and also a reasonable means to explain a promotion.

Alternative Suggestion: Kari in an add-on expansion, to appease the fans.
