Here Are Your Salsa-Red Samba De Amigo Maracas

We already figured you'd be getting some replica maraca controller shells with a Samba De Amigo bundle, but now you'll also be able to stock up on spares, should you wish to give a second player the same kind of faux-Mexican authenticity. Or add a little flair to your kitchen utensils or tool set. Either or. Amazon have standalone maracas listed at $US 15 for the pair, and unlike the HMV ones, these are all red, so they should shake even faster.

@KraazyCraig: Good deduction, but does anyone notice that the HMV ones do not have a nunchuck maracca but rather TWO Wii Remote ones? What's going on?

@itango: by my quick deduction it looks like that one is for the nunchuck and the bottom one is for the actual WiiMote.
I wonder if they make an authentic Maraca sound though

Do you really want to play the game with the nunchuck instead of two Wiimotes?
It'll be damn hard to play the game when to two maracas are connected with a cable that's just 1m short...I'll stick to two Wiimotes.

Yes! Finally! I don't think I've ever been more excited about a game than I am now. I can (hopefully) finally stop playing my imported Samba De Amigo ver. 2000 for the Dreamcast. The last 8 years of maraca-shaking goodness has been glorious, but it's time to move to something that is the future! Thank you Sega, you've made an old fan very proud.

Just a little thing to add Luke buddy, Maracas is not a very mexican thing :oP To be honest, i dunno much about the game but are they selling it as some sort of Mexican thing because i can assure you that we barely every see that around Mexico :oP

@Altima NEO: They just announced the motion plus a few weeks ago, and the game is supposedly coming out in like a month, I wouldn't expect that the motion plus would be supported at all (i.e. do anything).

@valhum: Actually, it's more of a Puerto Rican and Cuban thing,I think they were invented in Puerto Rico. Some Mexican bands do use them though.
