@Daft: Yeah, pretty much the same feeling here. It's not all it's cracked up to be, that's for sure. I might still pick it up tho, but not as excited about it as I was.

Biggest let down was probably no dismemberment. With corpses fading instantaneously it feels like this is a bit too toned down for my liking.

T Rating my bottom, Lucasarts. This is stupid. A game about the rage and destruction of the Dark Force and you make a Kids game out of it?
The rest feels similar to Jedi Knight without the other weapons and just cranked up graphics and physics wise for this generation.

The odd thing is, dismemberment shouldn't even be reason enough to bump up the rating, I mean look at Jedi Outcast and Academy, both allowed for it on some level. On top of that, the whole sith theme should've incorporated more limb severance... I guess they didn't want to have to worry about a field littered with arms and legs, aside from the more GoW like style of play in terms of how enemies disappear after death. Nevertheless, I enjoyed it for the sheer number of fun things that could be done, though not to say it couldn't have used some tightening.

@Arleas: @tsukasa1288: Part of it has to do with how Sony is compartmentalized and each division acts as a separate company.

It seems really silly because it would be in the company's interest to operate much more fluidly and less rigidly.

The hell's highway videos were interesting. I like the fact that they are focusing the game on a mission the allies failed in. I hope the storytelling turns out as well as they are hyping it.

But I see a lot of my upcoming WWII shooter time being dominated by World At War. I can't wait for some flamethrower fun!

My Star Wars Force Unleashed Impressions.

After playing the demo my impressions are as follows: The graphics are "alright". Characters look good, everything else not so much. The reflections are TERRIBLE. The force powers are fairly fun, though they are extremely overpowered. The lockon sucks, so when you are trying to lock on an enemy it grabs onto a damn barrel or something else stupid. I do like how you can push and pull parts of the environment in realistic ways, I just wish it was used more. The saber fighting is HORRIBLE, you get one button for slashing and that is it. I'm sure they decided to focus on the force powers but most Star Wars fans wanna do some light-saber combat too. If you are looking for a replacement to Jedi Knight look elsewhere, because the saber combat does not come even close to Jedi Knight standards.

Of everything my biggest complaint would be the feel of the character. The run feels stiff and the controls just don't feel fluid in the way a Jedi should be. Feels like I am a Jedi-robot.

Overall, I would give it a 6/10 based on the demo. It is fun for a bit, but I would definitely not buy it.
