Pure Soundtrack Unveiled

Disney's upcoming four-wheeler PURE is going to be packed to the brim with house, electronic and hip-hop music it looks like.
The upcoming racer's soundtrack will include music from DJ Hyper, The Answer, Tapework and Blindside to name a few. Here's a partial track list for the game, due out on the PC, Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year:

"Music plays an integral part in action sports games and we wanted to provide the right background to complement the nonstop spectacular tricks and massive jumps in the game," said Jason Avent, game director at Black Rock Studio. "We feel that the songs we've included on the soundtrack are ideal to round out the adrenaline rush players will get while playing PURE."
I've only been able to play around with a single map in the game, but so far I really like what I've seen. And I'm not the only one.

Weird...the only song I recognise is "Woman" by Wolfmother (truly awesome) which incidentally was also in Motorstorm. :O

This soundtrack looks dope - a few big names, and a few going-to-be-big names. Add that to the phenom tricks you can do - hellyaboyz! Looks like Disney has a Motorstorm killa. Take that Sony - yeehaha...

I pre ordered the game just for the demo, being such a huge atv enthusiast, and was not disappointed. Take Freekstyle + SSX + a huge amount of customization, and you get PURE.

In all honesty it doesn't actually look 'that' bad (musically) and gameplay wise i can imagine this being very accessible to the masses. Looks like the visual prettiness of titles like MotorStorm but dumbed down a tad to give it mainstream appeal. Should keep the accountants happy and possibly a few rad dudes along the way...

@joecamnet: Must be, theyre the only band named Tapeworm. Weird thing is though, they only ever put out one sing, and its called "Vacant", not "Getting Through". So the question is, how did Disney get a hold of unreleased music that coincidentally is badass?

@Mommar: I'm a little bored with Pendulum these days, to be honest. Liked the first album but not so keen on what I've heard of their latest stuff.
In any case, I only picked those four out because they were listed consecutively; there's a fair bit of good stuff elsewhere in the list, too (Calyx & Teebee; the legendary Jeff Beck, of course; and I'm still not sick of "Woman", especially if it's the MSTRKRFT remix).

REELY? I actually am more convinced to get the PC version since it has Pendulum. I don't know why everyone hates Pendulum's new CD. For me it trumps the old one by a bit. It's probably because they took a completely new direction. As for me, a solid DnB fan, I LOVE IT. Anything new and different is exactly what I like.

Is it only me or do the "reflections" in the drivers glasses look like huge eyes? (Bad Environment Map) Or shouldn't this resemble a reflection at all?

I dont believe that is the Sweedish Rock band Blindside...as I dont think they have a song called "for the nation" not to mention they would be slightly out of place.

Okay guys really dont be down on pure its not a motorstorm rip off its actually more like SSX. Its really fun and the controls are tight..as for the music lets just say the game is good enough to carry its soundtrack

I'm a QA Tester on the game, so take it or leave it.
But after 5 months on the project, the game is still alot of fun. I feel very lucky to be on such a project, you can only imagine what it's like to spend 60+ hours a week on the same game...
Even if you're not an ATV person, I bet you'll still find something to love here.

That's actually a very good soundtrack compared to other action sports games. Interesting blend of artists.
MX vs. ATV's soundtrack was garbage.
