Raiden IV for Xbox 360 Delayed

Those looking to pick up the Xbox 360 port of arcade shooter Raiden IV on September 11th in Japan, bad news. The release date has been pushed back to October 2nd so developer Moss can increase the Xbox 360 version's quality. And that's not necessarily a bad thing! Just a time consuming one.

Raiden is already pretty so I'd be happy to see just how much better they can make it :)... it'd be nice if I could play it too :(

but the first thing i thought of when i read the title was raiden for MGS4. maybe they should change the name, cause now i wanna go play MGS4.

Sadly it might be unlikely. Raiden Fighters Aces (compiling the three Raiden Fighters games) on Japanese 360 was not region free, and it seems the same for shmups by other companies on the system.
A real shame, as this generation the 360 seems to be the system for shmups, with Ketsui X, Do Don Pachi Daioujou Black Label X, Shikigami No Shiro 3, Otomedius, the two Raiden titles and possible a port of Shooting Love 2007. Plus all those XBLA classics like Triggerheart.
I'd import one, but sending and RRODed console back to Japan scres me!

Hmm. Isn't Duke Nukem 3D getting a release in September now? Maybe MS are secretly doing a release reshuffle.

the american customer service will repair your japanese 360 if you get the rrod. my friend sent his in and they repaired it just fine.

success region locked raiden fighters aces for japanese 360. of course, stranger things have happened. for some reason, ea made the latest tiger woods game region free. it's a start.

Hopefully someone picks this up. (I'm looking at you guys UFO or Ubisoft) If they do it will probably be renamed something shitty like WarTech though. Not that I'd care, but I'd complain, because that's my American right.

Its still over priced too. Just like when it first came out and they wonder why it didnt sell.
They should have priced it around 4k instead of 6.8

^Raiden 4 is a retail release, not an xbla title, so that wouldn't matter.

^More likely just UFO. I wouldnt count on Ubisoft releasing anything else like this after senko no ronde bombed in the us.
and I'm too lazy to dig up a link, but UFO did say they were wanting to release this in the us on xbox360. Although that was about a year and a half ago, and I havent heard anything from them about that since then, so who knows...
