OK those saying about the SOCOM BETA, visit the Japanese store. I can't read Japanese that great but it looks like download and install the SOCOM theme there for a chance to get in the BETA. SOmething with the dates sep 15th 08 - sep 30th 08?

I bought Haze for $15 and the purpose of online co-op and some occasional bot supported deathmatch with a friend who also has it. Alas, Haze is the only game I can't connect online. My copies of GTAIV, Hot Shots Golf, Madden, Resistance, multiple PSN games, etc.. have no problems getting online, but Haze is a bust.

Not so patiently waiting for news of Disgaea 3 DLC or Soul Calibur 4 DLC... the two games I'm playing right now on PS3 and DLC would be awesome...!!!

Well, I guess I should go download my new Qore episode now. Last one was a bit on the not-so-memorable side, hopefully this months is better.

Protip; don't download the PAX pack yet for Rock Band. It's hosed. While "Ssh..." and "Skullcrusher Mountain" apparently work if you download them individually, the MC Frontalot track doesn't work, and screws up all three songs if you download them together. (What happens is that you'll see them in the list of downloaded songs in RB, but no preview clip of the song plays while it's highlighted, and the song itself won't load when you choose it from the list -- it'll just sit at that loading screen forever and ever.)

I'm watching the Rock Band support forums for info, but there's not much news yet -- just lots and lots of people with the same problem. :\

this week's update blows. Qore seems okay because it has littlebigplanet, Bioshock and the 30 day exclusive demo for Motorstorm 2 but other than that...yawn.

Sony...look...you don't seem to understand the situation here. It's very simple. Most of us in the PSN store...have PS3s. PS3s with big HDDs. A percentage of that group also own PSPs with at least 1GB of storage. So please explain....where the hell is Xenogears? The Japanese have had it in their store for weeks. We can't get any love in the US? What the hell man. Talk to some of your development pals...give us Valkyrie Profile...Genso Suikoden, Raystorm...dammit. Nintendo has a (pathetic) excuse. They can't release a full back catalog because the Wii is gimped to hell with no HDD support. Where would we store the games? PS3 has no such limitations and PSP is far better that Wii especially in combination with the PS3 in regards to store (and library come to think of it)

Get with it and stop yanking our chains with these lame PSN updates...Where's Wipeout?

Haze was so bad that I think offering content for it is kind of bad publicity. It screams, "this is all we have!" even though it isn't true. It's sort of like offering Lair decorative themes. Oh.

Haze wasn't exactly a success in our eyes. Ubisoft knows that. But, it has still sold reasonably well, and the map pack will turn up a profit, I bet. And, last week, Ubisoft added four new maps for free.
So, Haze now has the on-disc maps, four free extra maps, and these seven new ones. That's a lot of maps. Alas, the game can't compare with the likes of Resistance 2 and Killzone 2, so why bother?

Im not too sure about the Rock Band track issues (I am not at home to try it out right now) but when everything gets fixed everyone should DL the PAX tracks. The proceeds go to the Childs Play charity so think of it as getting some songs while donating a few bucks at the same time.

@CheckersMcGavern: The real problem is delaying online multiplayer (understandable because of bugs), but to delay the new level that is almost a year in coming, even by a few weeks, is a big disappointment.

Plus... some achievements on the X360 are impossible too. Or at least insane. Little Rocket Man Achievement on Half Life 2: Ep 2? Ridiculous!
