wow, I'm not sure how to feel about this. It's hilarious, but the fact it got rated so low might give a new argument to those who claim the ESRB isn't doing its job, not to mention put a lot of wind in the sails of some of the fundies out there (NINTENDO IS SELLING HOMOSEXUAL PROPAGANDA!). @teraphony: Jesus Christ, guys. EarthBound was a great game, but it's become really annoying to hear the game's fanboys wail like banshees every time a North American VC release announcement is made without it included.

It's coming eventually. It's already out on the VC in Japan, and with some of the crazy games they've released (Cho Aniki included), there's no reason to believe that it's not ever going to be released on the North American VC. With all of the other great games we've gotten so far, from imports like Sin & Punishment to classics like Super Mario RPG (which just came out on the North American VC last Monday for crying out loud), you should be happy with what you've gotten so far.

@teraphony: Oh please. The game sold 140,000 copies in North America. For a Nintendo game with that much advertising (and a free players guide) that's nothing.

Earthbound fans are so annoying because they're so damn insincere. Earthbound is not coming because it's fanbase won't put it's money where it's mouth is.

@Golbleen: It was released before Mario RPG was, and that sold. Lots of SNES games sold around that time, but this is the one people chose not to buy, and not for a lack of marketing on Nintendo's part.

Also, FYI, Mother 3 didn't even sell very well in JAPAN. Who would ever take a game that has already proven to be a low seller to a place that has already proven to not be interested in the series?
