Dress Your Baby In Murloc
Posted by Michael McWhertor at 10:00 AM on September 9, 2008
Still don't know what to dress up your littlest spawn as this Halloween? Want to impress the other mommies at BlizzCon? How about a setting them off on the wrong foot by starting their World of Warcraft cosplay habit early — really early — with this handmade Baby Murloc costume? This apparent one of a kind beastly get up is going for a song on eBay right now, with less than a day left.
According to the seller, the Baby Murloc outfit comes with a "zippered front, snapped leg opening, hooded top, and reinforced spikes" as well as hands and feet. Pictures are limited, but from what we've seen it looks razor sharp (in a design way, not a baby hurting way) and should probably be going for much, much more.
We don't think Child Protection Services will say word one about it, either.

Funny that it doesn't really look like a Merloc. Looks like a cheap version of those dino-suits for kids that were all the rage back in the day. One of my buddies picked up one of those for a halloween costume. I would love to see a full-size man wearing this too lol.

@Ad-hominem: True, but the amazing cuteness of the baby makes up for that.

Baby not included? I have not met the one yet to create our own.

It's a pretty ugly costume. I mean, it looks like a blue body suit at first.

I would be pretty suprised if it doesn't sell for more then $35 since there are people buying characters for upwards of $3k. . . . Oh wait those people don't have Spouses or kids.

Why would WoW players buy that? It's like letting your baby boy try crack! And who knows, maybe WoW addiction goes from generation to generation!

That baby looks pretty happy, despite the fact that it's father loves a game more than it.*
First off, does the baby like Warcraft? No. The baby's small mind cannot comprehend what the hell any sort of electronic device is. All it wants is milk and food and sleep and it's parent's love...which leads me to my next point.
The amount of time put into this was time that could have been spent with the baby, showing it your undying affection. I'm sure the rest of the time was spent playing WoW or working to pay the rent.
Last but not least, I mean, it's a Murloc. Obviously the guy did it because it would be cool to show to his friends. If he had cared more about the baby being cute, he would have made it a more baby-orientated costume, like a cat or something.
*I do not believe he actually loves WoW more than his child, or that he must spend every living second on it. But I mean, seriously, guy is obviously obsessed to the point where he makes his damn baby wear something crazy. If you love WoW, why not just make yourself a costume? Oh wait, because then that's just kind of creepy. It's ok when you do it to your kids, of course.

"one of a kind" = homemade
Probably full of flammable materials, too.
Oh, wait... are we talking about the suit? I thought it was referring to the kid.

Give it a rest. It's just a cute costume for a kid, it doesn't matter if he knows what WoW is or not as he probably doesn't know what most things are yet, at that kind of age your parents just dress you up for fun. They'd have put just as much time into any other costume and to be perfectly honest the fact they actually hand made the costume shows they care about their kid. Maybe you could get off your WoW hating high horse a minute to see that.
Either way it doesn't beat when Penny Arcades Tycho dressed his kid up as a Crocolisk for halloween.
