2K just passed this new BioShock PS3 trailer along. Nothing new or terribly exciting here for anyone who owns a 360 or PC, but hey, not everyone owns a 360 or PC.
@bobtheduck: I assume you actually replied to me :). Yup, you're right. Though I can't relate about the HDTV connection, my PC and PS3 stay next to each-other, use the same widescreen monitor, and my PC's mid-range videocard can also output to HDTV (both hdmi and component), as did my previous 3-year-old gpu could. :)
@bobtheduck: Well, PC's are supposed to be hooked to monitors. Right now, I am writing this on my widescreen samsung gaming screen. If you want to get a bigger experience, there is always the option to plug it to a hi-def tv. I will not deny that a couch setting is comfortable, but for me it does not outweight the performance boost of a PC.
Damn, I have to go. Trying to get bandana and stealth generator. With Boss Extreme.
@bobtheduck: Please, unless your hands are the product of some horrible experiment, a controller will never exceed the efficiency of M&K. Adventure games and other (racing) are better played with a controller, but FPS, RTS and RPGs can be better handled with a keyboard and it's inmense repertoire of inputs.
You might prefeer a pad, but it fails to match the performance of a mouse. It simply does.
@bobtheduck: Also, how many people hook their PCs up to their big TVs rather than their dinky monitors? Not many... Sure, you CAN if you get the right hardware upgrades, but who actually DOES? Even those who can with hardware may not have their big ass TV in the room with the PC... PS3 may be honking huge, but it's still more portable than most PCs, and gaming laptops are probably more rare than PS3s are.
@TrickyNishidake: One that can play this game? Possibly not. That want to put up with the kind of bugs that are the norm on PC games that can require reboots and may wreck things they left on in the background (because it's a computer, it's made for multitasking, right?) Also not so much.
Maybe people prefer the controller to the keyboard... It is more ergonomic... Keyboard is not ergonomic at all. Not when using KB/m, no matter how superior the mouse is, having all digital buttons and even the wasd setup is inferior to the controller... A controller is just plain more comfortable.
wow was that a joke in the end? kind of lame. do you think people that own PS3 are poor people? again very lame. 360 is mainly bought to get modded and practice piracy.
A lot of people may not have a 360, but I'd say most people have a PC. :P

Bioshock Pee? I wonder how many of us PS3 gamers will get a copy. We PS3 fans usually have decent PCs, especially in Europe. Which would you prefer - a $110 copy of the game, or a $30 (new) one?
That trailer has nothing to do with the atmosphere in the game. The music is terrible!

@JorgieX: "Lackluster"? Are you living in 2007? PS3 is no way lackluster this year. The games are plentiful and varied. BioShock is an okay game that is a remake of a great game System Shock 2.
As most commenters in here wanna dis this release since it is an older game by now. I think the game is a great addition to the PS3 lack luster library. I think it's cool for everyone that don't own the PC or 360 version to get this game non the less. I won't be getting this since I own the PC version and beat the 360 version as well. But this is not a bad thing for gamers. More and more titles just need to release on all platforms on same day. But anyways this is good news for PS3 only owners. So if you want more games on the PS3 people that only own a PS3 better go and buy it and give it good sales so that companies continue to see a value for porting games to the system.
@bobtheduck:

@animexplorer: You're being hyper defensive and it's making you irrational.
@Rotmm: He's really angry. It's not wise to tease him :( Perhaps someone who cares can offer kind words to sooth him. Something like "No man, I'm sure he didn't mean it like that. He was just highlighting the fact that it's cool that it's finally out for the PS3 as well".
...
SERIOUSLY! Some people are really over-defensive here! What gives? Why would these words hurt you? It's cuts from a game over 2 million people have played already and the internet has seen in length. Discussions have been had and shit has flown. It's a port and unless you are a person who missed out because it wasn't on your console, this is a good deal however others who have played this probably wouldn't care. Where's the pain? Where were you cut?? Grow the fuck up people!
I only have two games for the PS3 (since I only just bought the system yesterday). Those two games are Ratchet and Clank and MGS4. It was hard for me to choose only 2 from the case absolutely stuffed with AAA titles, mind you; but let me say this: playing both MGS4 and R&C at the same time is a sort of gaming bliss I don't think I've ever felt before.
played it once. got over it a whole year ago. have fun P33 owners while you think you are still playing a brilliant game! if the repetition and overkill of useless plasmids won't get you, the lame ending will!
@somarix: But how many people buy PC's with separate video cards (I've NEVER seen on-board video that comes with HDMI, not even new, except for some very recent laptops) vs how many buy them with onboard crap for 400 dollars that can barely play Solitaire? You're still making the assumption people are gonna buy something that's capable of
1. playing this game
2. hooking to a TV
or, perhaps
3. That they love playing on a little monitor vs a big TV (I sure don't...)
@MOP88: Haha, "PC is better, oops, gotta go back to my PS3" I don't know, I found that funny. But "efficiency"? I'm sorry, but there's nothing "efficient" about WASD and even less so with the arrow keys... Your fingers are in unnatural positions, and having to read other places on the keyboard, whereas with a controller, your fingers are always placed where they should be. Like I said, the only real advantage KB/M gives you is the mouse for FPS and for RTS games... Otherwise, not so much.
@jair: You're right it has... Only picked up again with Sims 2 and WOW, but otherwise it's pretty much dead in the water and has been for 10 years. At least the PC boys are realizing it now.
"2K just passed this new BioShock PS3 trailer along. Nothing new or terribly exciting here for anyone who owns a 360 or PC, but hey, not everyone owns a 360 or PC."
why am I not surprised to read that on Kotaku? like yeah sure it's not a big deal for 360 and PC owners but it IS a big deal that one of the 360s biggest exclusives is now available for the PS3...that's one less reason to buy a 360. I mean it's all over the news when the PS3 loses one of its exclusives so how is this not a big deal?
Being a Kotaku reader for a while now I get this vibe that they always try to downplay any positive news for PS3 owners and make a huge deal out of any blow to Sony. And I swear I'm not trying to be a fanboy. I'm just making an observation.

@Talleh: on every other next gen system? aside from the 360 there is only the pc, so aside the ps3 there is only one more next gen system and that is the 360. And these 2 next gen systems are not next gen any more. Stupid troll.

why am I not surprised to read that on Kotaku? like yeah sure it's not a big deal for 360 and PC owners but it IS a big deal that one of the 360s biggest exclusives is now available for the PS3...that's one less reason to buy a 360.

I'm so buying this for the PS3. I don't game on my PC (or rather it can't), and so this was the only game that made me wish I had a Xbox. After a bit of waiting, I get a new and improved version on my PS3. Sweet deal!

@Talleh: on every other next gen system? aside from the 360 there is only the pc, so aside the ps3 there is only one more next gen system and that is the 360. And these 2 next gen systems are not next gen any more. Stupid troll.

@dagreatest: And your observation seems to be correct. That's definitely how things are going.
