PC Zone To Expose Deus Ex 3 Conspiracy?
Posted by Stuart Houghton at 8:20 AM on September 9, 2008
Things have been a bit quiet on the Deus Ex 3 front, but the news that the original game was to be made available for free from Gametap seemed to suggest that something was coming down the pipe.
If this blurry, phonecam-quality picture is the real thing, UK games mag PC Zone will be lifting the lid on the game in its 200th issue, out later this month.
The photo popped up on the Gaming Age (NeoGAF) forums and it certainly looks like the right typeface. The issue is on sale on October 9th, so there is plenty of time for the whole story to leak out before you actually have to buy the thing.

Oh my god I am excited for this. I just hope the game environments are as interactive as the first Deus Ex was. The detail within PC games seems to have done downhill since then.

Deus Ex was AMAZING, while the second one was not so much. Hopefully this takes it back to the more open formula of the first.
The way they presented Users with SOOOOOO many choices was marvelous. I remember playing that game on hard and dieing alot, but it was never a big deal because I got to try new stuff each time I died. What a damn good game. I'm getting fluffy animals in my stomach thinking about it.

Please let this be real. And come out soon. I loved the second one (ON THE PC), a bit more than the first actually.

Oh jeez. Very excited but very scared about this game's development. Loved the first, liked the second. Who knows how Eidos'll handle this.

OH MAN. I am cautiously optimistic about this game. I'm not even sure why, since there have been no details so far... As long as they don't go the way of Invisible War.
About once a year I get the urge to replay the original; I blast through it in a couple of days and absolutely love it. I tried the sequel again recently and barely got out of the first area. Not only is the gameplay inferior but the atmosphere of the first one just isn't there.

No Ion Storm means no go for me. And to those who say that "Well Warren Spector helped make Deus Ex 2!!!" I say this: By now he'd know of the mistakes done with Invisible War and would not repeat them in a third game.

@NukaCola: I was probably one of the 5 people who enjoyed Deus Ex 2.

weren't the conspiracies revealed in the first two games? i want to believe this will be great...but the tagline makes me think 'deus ex 3' 'cant contain the suckulance'....

@NukaCola: Yeah, they aint ion storm, but still we should give the guys at Eidos Montréal a chance, its their first game after all. One thing's for sure: it's not going to be worse than deus ex 2.

Deus Ex 2 may have been the inferior game overall... But at least the gun play felt ALOT more responsive and satisfying. Both games had the perfect atmospheres and conspiracy-filled plots though, as long as they continue that trend of excellence, ill be happy.

@nitromic: I never realized until I saw it on youtube that I could kill navarre on the 747. I only assumed you could either kill Lebedev or let her do it.

Oh god. I hope this is real and it comes out soon like say before 2010. Dues Ex: The Conspiracy is still probably the best game i ever played to this day.

This will be awesome if it pans out. The second one drove me crazy, actually. Couldn't stand it. But I played the hell out of (and loved) the first Deus Ex on my PC.

@MOP88: Yeah, it is awesome in the first one how you could actually save your brother and change the storyline. Sure it may be hard as hell, but you can do it.

The first one stands (still) as one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had.
The second one was... poor. And that's all that needs to be said.
The third one... Come on guys. New unreal engine, PLEASE make it good...
