As opposed to all of the billboards in Mercs 2 you have to blow up. I think EA shot itself in the foot there. They could have done their favorite in game advertising. Seeing as how you create and connect to an EA server when you start the game they could push updates through including new movies. Righteous kill is already on there, why not put up a Wolverine movie one?

For those of us who lack the will for map making, is this game worth it at all? It looks like a party game (ala, mario party). This isn't flame, it's a serious question. I want to want the game, but if its a party game... I dunno, i just don't see me playing it after the first day. Am I missing something here?

I've been jonesing for this game ever since I came up with the idea of basing a level off of Lewis Caroll's poem, "Jaberwocky". Reading through the manual though, there was no mention of being able to load images from the PS3 hard drive... I hope to god that didn't get cut over some overzealous copyright freakout.

Am I the only other kotakuite that has one of these? I got mine from Cal State Northridge last week and I got an even lower number... 5/1000! I didnt notice the number until I got in the car, otherwise I would have looked around for #1.
It really is an awesome little creation. You can tell they put some time into gluing together the wood and wire.

@FATDAN: I would say that it's more of a group-style platformer than anything else. A platformer that can download more levels than you could ever play, mind you. But if you aren't interested in making your own content, (or editting pre-existing content), then I can see the appeal wearing off - after all, most of the progress through the game is rewarded with more objects to use in the create mode. If you're never going to use create mode, then the incentive to play is greatly lessened, unless you take a particular joy in customizing your Sackboy and interacting with other people in room / online.

If I marketed this game, I'd start putting these little bastards in every Happy Meal, Burger King, Toys R Us, out in the whole damn world. Then I'd start some kind of traveling puppet show. Complete with children's activity time where everyone is building something awesome.
