Did Blizzard Want 'Blizzard Activision'? Yes, Yes It Did

Activision Blizzard. Before, they were just "Activision" (full stop) and "Blizzard" (full stop). But when the two companies went all Voltron on us, they turned into Activision Blizzard. Alphabetic ordering aside, how'd Blizzard feel about that. Company co-founder Frank Pearce:
We actually requested that it be called Blizzard Activision... You can't win every battle.
What, no one was hip to Blizzivision? Or our personal favourite Actard? About Activision CEO Robert Kotick, Pearce added, "He understands the value of the success that we've achieved, and recognises that we've got a franchise that's successful, and doesn't want to mess with that". Whew, that's good to know.

Actually I rescind my recommendation of Actiblizzion and instead recommend that they go back to being Silicon and Synapse.

@Jamaces: Uhm... there were two games based on the first season of the power rangers. Actually, more than two I think. There were some on the SNES, and some on the gameboy.

Kotick is great. Just as he's done with shareholders & daytraders like me, I have no doubt he will have their best interests at heart & do everything to assure Blizzard continues doing what they do best.

I'm just pissed they're releasing Wrath of the Lich King (according to Amazon) THE DAY BEFORE ELECTION DAY. Way to go Blizzard! You've already addicted millions, if not more, and now you'll keep them from their civic duty because they're busy leveling up their characters. GOOD GAME.

Man, they should have just named the new company "Sven." Nothing on this kinda-mostly-blue world is nearly as awe inspiring as Sven, the only character that mattered on Voltron. Virtuous pilot of the Blue lion, Sven proved time and time again he kicks, and gets, more ass than any fake Swedish man alive. Even EA wouldn't stand up to the might of Blue Lion.
The best part? He'll appear to be killed to many people, but pull an Atari, say he was recovering on another planet, and comes back just in time to be even more badass than a split Crecente molecule. "It's me, I'mma back!" And then they use a new IP to rip a hole through the game industry so wide it makes Goatse look like he has the anus of a five year old. Maybe if they spent some more time "TINKING" about this they would've become THE unstoppable force in the industry.
