GameStop's Batman: Arkham Asylum Sweepstakes Is Go!
Posted by Michael McWhertor at 12:00 PM on September 13, 2008
The GameStop contest we told you about earlier this week, the one that could secure you a cell in Batman: Arkham Asylum, has officially launched at the games retailer's official site. The "Life In Arkham" sweepstakes will put your face in the upcoming Eidos game, something you'll have to be patient for, as the title won't ship until August of 2009. There are no hoops to jump through (and no purchase is required) that we can see. Just submit your info and go. Good luck!

I think I'll pass making a pre-order on the worst game retain chain there is to enter something my scary pictures will not win because of too much gore and pimples.

I would be perfect for this. My face would scare everyone.

@Ashurahori: So, you want to make a pre-order ON a company that sells games, not on a game AT said company? Also, what is a "retain" store. Try learning how to compose your thoughts properly before posting a message next time pal.

I hope they don't :|. I still entered though.

@SgtElias: Dude... I mean, really... Just... dude...
I entered. I always get tons of shit in my e-mail from them and elsewhere... and I don't answer my phone as it is, so... whatever, they can't do anything to me.

@thistimeXitswar: Did you write that in the entry? =D
If they did this with a speaking part or whatnot it'd be more awesome! It's like being in a movie. Only a million times cooler!
I really hope turns out to be good.

I would enter, but I'm guessing they don't really need a person who looks like a younger version of the Joker (seriously, the smile, eyes, hairline and everything... except the pastiness and green hair color). Yeah, I'm a real pimp with the ladies...

@thespyderboy: Of course you are, you're Clint Eastwood!
It would be interesting for the person who wins it. When you play the game do you get to kill yourself? Torture yourself? Smack yourself in the face with a batarang? Or just stand by and watch?

@kylo4: Damn right (though there is another Clint floating out there... we are sexy beasts).
An interesting psychological twist on an otherwise mundane contest. I'd like to see that implemented.

@Everyone.
The winner is simply placed into a jail cell in Arkham.
You will also be given a code to take you straight to the location in the game so you can show your friends.
