PAL PlayStation Store Update: Tardiness Is Next To Godliness

Sorry this wasn't up yesterday, but it wasn't our fault! The PAL PSN update was well behind schedule after Sony experienced some "technical issues" getting it all up. Those issues have been sorted, the update's up, here's the pick of what's in it: Metallica, Rock Band, FIFA 09. For a more comprehensive breakdown, click through.

@RaptureScientist: I believe so, and we had Siren Blood Curse already too. Nice to see 1942: Joint Strike finally make it out here. It has to be said though....still no Soul Calibur IV DLC.

Hmm which to get. I do like the 3 Track Bundle, but then my tastes tend to go towards the 3 Track pack sale/developing artist's. Decisions Decisions...

PlayTV Demo...? downloading now, but its 1.4GB. Can anyone elaborate on this? What can you do on it? My guess is just like a flash based interactive video.....

@JIBB3RS: It imitates the functionality of PlayTV with about 5 minutes worth of prerecorded video and fake TV schedules... I got it.

@RaptureScientist: No the Elefunk demo was out in the US only (same day it was released), the game has been out for sale in PAL-Land for a while (17th July) but SCEE never bothered with a Demo.
Also the game is $5 in the US, £5 here in the UK (nearly $10, its the highest marked up PSN game, on the PAL store, "should" of been £3.50 like PJ Monsters)
Also theres still quite a few demos still not up in the PAL store for games on sale here that "are" on the US store...

Personally I think this was a good update from SCEE for a change, but a 2-3 month wait for 1942 Joint Strike, is not really acceptable, considering it has been on PAL XBL for all that time...
Also still not got ONE Soul Calibur content pack yet, think Japan has got its third or forth already...

And considering that this content is region locked to PAL versions of the game, its really frustrating...

@dislexiq: hmmmmmmm, left your brain at the door on your way in?
I'm asking because I didn't want to pay for a track and find out it's not compatible, hence I was checking to see if anyone had tested this yet.
Obviously I have a UK PSN account as I said I had imported it... (three full stops, pointing out the obvious)

Does anyone know if downloaded songs from the uk store work with the US version of rockband? I imported it ages ago.

an ok update I guess....I do hate SCEE though, the wait for 1942 Joint Strike has been ridiculous, and where is our Soul Calibur packs? Up David Reeves arse most likely

This week's update wasn't particularly interesting, so it's fortunate that I was e-mailed a promotional code to download a demo for Motorstorm 2. Unfortunately, the internet connection on my PS3 has been absolutely horrid lately so it's still downloading...
