PlayStation Store Update: Doin' The Dew

There is absolutely no way this week's North American PlayStation Store update will leave you wanting, especially if you have an interest in downloading eight AST Dew Tour promotional videos. While trailers and videos may dominate the list of new additions, there's plenty to play. LucasArts' Fracture and EA's Mercenaries 2 both get new demos and D3Publisher's first batch of downloadable PSP games arrive. PlayStation 3 owners can also enjoy a price break on the Call of Duty 4 map pack, for a limited time. For the full list, hit the jump.

@Datheron: NEXT WEEK!!!!! Can hardly contain myself. Now only if there was a way to use the Namco neGcon controller with it. I used to play all Wipeout games with it and love it. To me it was best controller for this game really got into a Wipeout flow with it. Trying to ply it now with regular controller I can't do it. Maybe I'll like the sixaxis control though but I doubt it.

@mikedaless: The bikes aren't a store release, you fire up the game and it prompts you to download and install the bike update.
Been playing it all evening. Completed a fair few challenges. I kinda enjoy the bikes.

@Rubix42: actually if you find a PS2 to PS3 converter the G Con might work. I used my Ps2 DS controllers and the splitfish FX with the PS3 with that same adapter.
Of course, Gamespot stopped selling them with the lawsuit against sony over force feedback but if you can grip on somewhere, you might be in business

You have to pay to copy over songs you've already payed for? That's such a joke, and Metallica's new album is more expensive in guitar hero than on itunes? You can get quite substantial DLC in a decent game for the same price as 3 songs, it's the equivalent of at least 10 songs, they should be $0.30 each, perhaps $0.99 would be acceptable if you could export an mp3 as well.

@valleyshrew: Trying compensating for licensing fees from the record industry as well as the time and effort that went into transcribing each part of each song, making sure they were accurate, and fitting them into the programming along with bugtesting. Also, figure that you have to do this every week lest you piss off legions of fans.

The free 1080p AST Tour videos are actually pretty sweet. Seeing the best tricks in a hi def highlight video are things I only dreamed about as a teen.

@kadaj24: That's how I felt when I saw it at gamestop, too... Still, 10 bucks for a new game (AKA some of my money goes to the devs, not it all going to gamestop) on PSP sounds decent... I may give it a shot...
@JakeDunn: Pure is more on the realism end. Not sim, but not as crazy arcadey as Motorstorm. I've played both, I vastly prefer Motorstorm.
